[On the news that the Supreme Court will be ruling on same-sex marriage cases this year.]
Food for Thought
Let me begin by stating "God's timing is always the right time", one must wonder what the chances are that the SCOTUS has tabbed April 2015 as the timing for hearing these Gay Marriage issues. In 2015, Passover begins on the evening of Friday, April 3rd at nightfall, and ends after nightfall on the evening of Saturday, April 11th. This is also the timing of the 2014 – 2015 lunar tetrad. The April 4 eclipse is the third in a series of four consecutive total lunar eclipses in 2014 – 2015. Of course the Lunar Eclipses are also known as "Blood Moons"...
Coincidence or not? One can bet God is not happy with what is going on in this world. As I recently heard, "Man has archived God, put him out to the edges of societal acceptance". Man will surely pay for the decisions it has made in pushing God aside...

Such as their decision to ignore Jesus' teachings that we love our fellow human beings no matter what they are, and try and ban marriage equality as a result?
Let me guess. Depending on the decision, it will either be
Activist Judges Imposing Their Opinions On Us
or
SCOTUS recognizing the validity of historical biblical Truth
So when god created the universe, including our solar system, he set it up in such a way that this series of ellipses will be in a specific time 6000 years later. And he thinks that this is somehow a clear and precise message.
Numerology? Really? What's next, cutting open pigeons?
Look, I know the fundies are putting a lot of weight on Father Roberts, Pubic Hair and Fat Tony, but that door is closed. It would be like suddenly deciding in 1905 that that slavery stuff was right all along. I mean, how is Tony going dress up his rejection as State's Rights when the majority of states already permit same-gender marriage?

And this has fuck all to do with what, exactly?
Seriously, what is with these guys and lunar eclipses? That was one of Ray Comfort's major arguments in his "movie" on Noah. Many Jewish holidays take place on a lunar calendar at the full moon. As such, it is to be expected that lunar eclipses are more likely to take place on Jewish holidays. I bring this up because I thought that RR had a thread a while back on how the "blood moon" theory was just Hagee trying to bilk people for money. But I guess they just can't pass up a chance to be nutjobs.
"One can bet God is not happy..."
And why should I care if your god is pissed about something? Nobody gets upset if Zeus is angry, or Darth Vader is upset, or Voldemort has hurt feelings.
Oh yes. I'm sure he'll get around to making that hair trigger anger he's so famous for known any day now. Any day. I mean it's been any day now for the last 2,000 years so it can't be much longer, right?

A Brief History of the Apocalypse
Except when none of those hundreds of previous "right times" claimed over thousands of years were "right". Appears almost exactly like what one would expect if, say, god didn't exist?

Wow, this is eerily similar to the blood libel. Any chance for MTSTDT?
Been a while hasn't it, since we had one of those loons here.
Sad, isn't it? That there are so many other sources of idiocy out there. Rapture Ready used to be a main staple of this site.
Is there any event you wouldn't use as an excuse to treat the "blood moon" thing as a prophecy? I'd bet if all the headlines were saying stuff like "Every Republican Bill Passed", "Crime Drops to Historic Low", and "World Celebrates 1 Year Without Terrorist Activities", you'd still find some way to claim that a sequence of eclipses was a prophecy.
@The Reptilian Jew
I don't think this is related to the historic "blood libel". They've been going on about the blood moon stuff for a while without mentioning Passover. I think the phrase references the physical appearance of the moon during partial eclipses. There's also no use of Judaism-related words in the piece besides "Passover", and if this were related to the blood libel, I'd expect to see some the word "Jews" or "Zion" pop up somewhere in the text.

If God is truly omnipotent, it should surely be impossible for man to do anything with God that he dosen't desire.
Confused?
