(ba shantu : I'm going to a Mosque *tomorrow* for noon prayer with a relatively new believer for a religion community college class.
Does anybody know any good resources, especially on the internet, on how to compare Islam with Christianity?)
Why would you step foot in a satanic place of worship?? You'd never see me do it, class or no class, I'd rather die. it would be all I could do not to stand up and squeal and then start preachin'!! I'd take a big fat 0 and flunk . If you ask me, that's like sucker punching my Savior in the gut...why would I do that? For a worldy grade????

I can't imagine how they would react if they knew about the time I went on a church trip to a mosque, synagogue, AND a Hindu temple, in ONE DAY!
Here's another worshipper of an all-powerful, all-knowing, yet insecure and easily frightened God.
I'm sure dramama has flunked tons of classes, and not by choice.
Considering your belief in the Rapture isn't even Scriptural, are you so sure the one with the Satanic faith is the Muslim?
Why don't we look at the evidence for both belief systems?
Oh, yeah... Neither one of you has any.
"If you ask me, that's like sucker punching my Savior in the gut...why would I do that? For a worldy grade???"
So you can get a "worldy" job?
Would his head explode, if I told him that I jobbed for four years in a gothic club, which was also located in the same building as the local Mosque and an auditorium for advanced biology? (true story, was a pretty cool time)
ITT: Every religion other than mine must automatically worship my religion's figure of absolute evil, whether they believe in his existence or not.
Hilariously enough, when I was still Catholic, the college youth group was offering a trip to the local mosque for an interfaith outreach.

And convince all the Muslims present that Christians are disrespectful, hateful assholes. Another witnessing failure. I'm sure your god will thank you for acting like a douchebag in his name.
Technically, the Christian God IS both insecure and jealous:
Exodus 20:5: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me
One can't exactly expect the "true" followers of a faith to be tolerant of other religions when their Holy Book says it is a sin.
I went to mosque once with a friend of mine. It was after I lost my mother and he thought talking with the Imam might be of some help. (I wasn't dealing well with it)
When you compare what I was told by a priest to what I was told by an imam you get this:
Priest: "God works his wonders in ways we can't understand. But he loves you, remember that." This was the priest at her church, the same church that is a part of the catholic school I went to as a kid.
Imam: "God did not kill your mother. The cancer did. But we believe that when a mother sacrifices for her children (pain of birth, staying at home to help raise the child instead of working, scrimping and saving to put the child in a good school) that she must be placed in the highest of heavens for raising you into a fine adult."
Regardless of my own feelings on spiritual matters now, I still carry the man's business card because he showed more compassion and care to a stranger than a holy man in the faith I was brought up in.
Dramama, and ba shantu, open your fucking minds to the remotest possibility that there are good people who are different than you. Ass.
Punching Jesus in The Gut?
One would have to yell out "FALCON PUNCH" when they do so.
Wisdom does not need to come from any faith.
That poster probably was in a philosophy class I took, as there was a fundie who argued with the professor when we were discussing Plato and Aristotle, to name a few. This person eventually dropped the class.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
