Please. liberal tolerance is an offer, not a vow. We will tolerate other people who show tolerance. Nothing in the world makes us tolerate an intolerant person. We want to help everyone get fed, you’d deny school lunches if the kid can’t pay their own way. We do not have to say, ‘well, we’ll agree to disagree’ with your prejudice.

Ah. So many people don’t understand PC. The entire point of PC as it was envisioned in the early 80s is to prevent INADVERTANT offense. Say if you’re like my grandmother who insisted that ‘colored’ was the way that black people WANTED to be referred to. Never mind that this was in Florida when she was 8 years old, but PC aims to correct your (and everyone’s) ignorance.
You can still use words if you WANT to offer offense. drop the N-bomb if you feel that you need to. But be prepared, everyone around you will exercise their free speech rights in reaction to you doing so.
