An Afghan bill allowing a husband to starve his wife if she refuses to have sex has been published in the official gazette and become law.

The problem is Doctor Fishcake, a very good number of the Christian Fundie Fucknuggets that are so oft quoted on this board would agree with the introduction of such a law in the US. But of course that would be a loving starvation and rape in the name of the lord rather than a wicked vile act committed by a society of terrorists.
It's just one more piece of evidence that religion and government should be dissociated...
The part that gets me is that in Islam, a woman is allowed divorce, in fact, is encouraged to get one, if her husband refuses to provide food. Hehe, what a bunch of retards. And yes, Im a Muslim too ^ ^
Its so good to see democracy in action.
There a lovely 7th century story about Mohamed;
One day some men approached the prophet with a complaint. "Our wives will not come to our beds when we command them" said the men. "They will not obey our wishes".
Mohamed gazed across the courtyard a moment, and then spoke. "You must offer not commands, but words of affection, and kisses, many, many kisses."
To bad nobody in the Afghani government seems to have read their Hadith.
Really?
"Old Viking
How does starving the woman help?"
Cause they'll give in? Must be passive-aggresive rape in fundie-land of all stripes.
Wow, how can I be morally as good as religious people?
This is progress. Better than just simply beating them. Not much progress, but some.
And yes, I know. What I said is a sad commentary on the reality of the situation.
Country invaded, warlords rampant, economy devastated, civil war underway - nice to see the legislators have their priorities in order.
Confused?
