Atheists and so-called "non-religious" people residing in christian countries are always very vocal and very keen to destroy the foundations of that society, I have noticed.

Despite the liberties granted to them magnanimously by Christian society, they nevertheless refuse to reciprocate this kindness and instead seek laws and conventions designed to limit the rights of believers to practice their faith freely.

Atheism produces nothing but demands everything, a comparatively TINY minority of Atheists think it right that a majority christian nation conforms entirely to an Atheistic way of doing things, all the while refusing to acknowledge that all of the freedoms they enjoy and abuse stem from the faith they hate so much.

An Atheistic society is an authoritarian horror and a police state, and yet this is what the Atheist movement would have us emulate. This MUST NOT be allowed to happen.

For the non-American readers, the northeast region is considered by fundies as a hotbed of horriffic atheism, homos and child molesting serial killers, while the south is the core of christian civilisation.

It's called the First Amendment. Which means that you can practice your faith freely, but you can't force religion into government. Not that it doesn't happen on a broad basis, but it's not supposed to happen. So when a ten commandments monument gets removed from public property, you people bitch and moan about your rights being taken away, when you never had the right to use taxpayer dollars for religious displays in the first place.

Christians just can't understand that freedom of religion doesn't mean total freedom to force religion into every aspect of public life.

No Christian in the US would EVER seek laws designed to limit the rigths of non-believers, Communists or homosexuals, right?

Atheism is merely lack of religions. It doesn't demand anything but acceptance and respect. No liberties have ever been granted magnanimously. Almost all of those rights have been fought for BY atheists, and religious people have refused to give in as long as they possibly could. Very few atheists actively hate any faith; we mostly just ignore them. It's the faithfuls that seem to hate atheists so much.

Erm, most of the European countries have no state church. None of the countries in the EU are authoritarian horrors or police states. Freedoms and civil rights are respected and actively upheld; no country is allowed to join the EU if it violates one of the most important civil rights; that of Right to Life (i.e. the death penalty).

Ok for this I'm going to count agnostics and other "life-force" believers into the non-religious category, because they aren't Christian.
The following countries would then have to be "authoritarian horro and a police state": Czech Republic, Estonia, Sweden, Norway , France, Denmark, Netherlands, Iceland, Slovenia, Finland, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Belgium, Latvia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Lithuania. These are all the European countries in which faith in personal god is less than 50% - that doesn't mean that those under 50% are actually Christians.
None of those are police states in fact Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic all score higher on Democracy Index than the United States, the "land of the free" (barf).

But maybe there's that misunderstanding again, that rights are freedoms, not the power to force your will on others. So if that's the case I'd be proud if people like this dipshit called my country a "police state" because I then know that I'm free.

Well, seeing as Theocratic regimes had been the dominant paradigm for centuries previously (the RCC & Europe), exerting it's absolute worse-than authoritarian nightmare over millions (the Inquisition), then if it takes legislation to ensure more people have equal rights in these social democratic times (certainly re. Norway, Sweden et al), then said 'police state' can never be hyper-draconian enough against those who would dare to think they have the right to be Theocratic dictators. Three words: Saudi Arabia. Iran.

You fundies have had your time. So what if you no longer have the right to be bigoted towards those not exactly like you? So our law (PROTIP: Romans 13:1-5) forces you to be Politically Correct? Good!

There's something else that the above Founding Father said too:

Now go take a look at your precious Constitution, anti-freedom fundies. Take a reaaaaaal close look; study it extremely carefully.

Because if you can't find the words 'God', 'Jesus' or even 'Creator' therein, then your right-wing Fundamentalist Christian Theocratic Dominionist (which proves you are a domestic enemy to what the US - via the Constitution - stands for) mindset has even less right to exist.

Here in the UK - home of the state religion, the Church of England - we have a little something called Section 5 of the Public Order Act. A piece of legislation which means that if you so much as publicly speak in a way designed to offend others, you'll have the police drop on you like a ton of bricks (also so nobody has the right to disrespect - i.e. insult - the police; swear at them, you'll be cuffed & stuffed, then in a cell before your feet fucking touch). We have anti-discrimination laws, and the police have a Zero Tolerance policy on racist, sexist & homophobic behaviour in action & word (so that's Fred Phelps & co. fucked, even if Jacqui Smith's ban on them entering the UK is ever lifted).

Your argument - and your fundie religion's existence - is invalid.

Which liberties are these? I'm not aware of the freedom of anyone to practise his religion being violated since the admission of Utah to the Union. Forcing other people to do what you want does not constitute practising your religion.

I wouldn't boast about the record of Christianity vis-a-vis authoritarianism and police states, if I were you. The history of authoritarian Christian states and secret police forces working for Christian states extends over several centuries on more than one continent.

In the US, it is impossible to have laws that are "designed to limit the rights of believers to practice their faith freely", provided the faith is devoutly held and not just made up for the purpose of avoiding the law and provided the practice doesn't involve violating the secular laws that apply to everyone, such as murder or pedophilia. You can't claim a religious right to perform human sacrifice or have sex with five year olds, nor can you create your own church for the sole purpose of avoiding taxes; but even drug laws have been overridden for established religious practices. On the other hand, you can't ask the state to enforce your beliefs on others. Devout Jews can't, for example, ask that the sale of pork be banned. Neither can you put your religious displays on public property, ask public school employees to lead other peoples' children in prayers or ban the teaching of evolution because it disagrees with what your pastor told you.

Atheistic or secular society?...
As an agnostic (theist) living in a secular country, I don't openly enforce my beliefs nor expect you to adhere to them even if there are laws to (or not to) do the same. As for an "atheist state" "HELP WE'RE BEING OPPRESSED" is then and only then legitimate when the state imposes atheism to be sincerely and honestly believed with no other alternative (which thankfully hasn't happened). Authoritarian horrors and police states on either side (religious vs. anti-religious) are still authoritarian horrors, like it or not. Even secular states are just as prone.

One rarely proves truly that God is on one's side one always ends up proving that God is not on his opponent's side.

If this person means the United States, then what is he on about? Foundations of the United States: an act of rebellion by colonists against the colonial power. Adoption of an explicitly secular constitution inspired by Enlightenment ideals.
Foundations of most European countries: Competing bands of feudal warlords rewarded their followers with tracts of land and set themselves up in kingships.
The American liberties weren't granted to them by Christians, but were included in a document written by men, some of whom were religious, some of whom weren't, but all of whom agreed that the country's government should be secular and not favour any one religion.
I'm sick of this thing of taking what you're doing and accusing others of doing it. It's an over-used tactic. Are you persecuting people? Do you want to limit people's freedoms? Then just say "I'm being persecuted, my freedoms are being limited!"

Funny then, that when the $cientology Org down Tottenham Court Road in London was protested - with placards stating that it was a dangerous cult - by Anonymous (wearing 'V' masks) as part of Project Chanology, even though there were police nearby, nobody was arrested.

It would have made the news if there had. Certainly on 4chan.

Even funnier: $cientology isn't even recognised by our Parliament as a religion, thus they're not entitled to 'charity' status, unlike churches & affiliated religious organisations that are charities. Thus the Orgs etc here in the UK have to pay tax on their income via Auditing, courses etc.

$cientology is regarded as a dangerous cult by no less than the German government, thus it isn't allowed to operate there. In Russia, it's religion non grata.
