Christians/Atheists: Do you think it's possible that you're wrong?
Just wondering what the level of open mindedness is here. It seems like an honest person would have to admit it is very possible to be wrong when it comes to religion.
Answer :No. The Bible is the Absolute Word of God.

An atheist response,
To paraphrase Mr Dawkins:
"Well I suppose I could be wrong, But I could be wrong about a lot of things, I could be wrong about the great JuJu of the Volcano."
There should be a sequel to the bible, written for today's worshipper. Because surely things aren't quite like they were 2000 odd years ago. The Bible 2: This Time It's Personal. After all, they always talk about their personal relationship with Gawd. At the very least there should be like an expansion pack or something.
@ Everyone
My bible contains all sorts of programming errors. There's redundant code that slows the thing down, I have spotted numerous faulty references, and some of it is just plain logically impossible. To make matters worse, the last few lines of code threaten me if I try to add or remove anything. I really hate things that aren't open source.
I don't think I am wrong, but if I am it's my problem, not yours.
I've been wrong a lot in my life. But, you know what? I've been right a lot too.
I am willing to concede that I don't know everything. But, I also don't need or want to know everything.
And, if I am wrong, it is between me and god and none of your business.
Do you think it's possible that you're wrong?
Oh totally. Feel free to point out where I might have gone wrong.
No. The Bible is the Absolute Word of God.
Except that there is an extremely good chance that it isn't. Do you really want to waste your life finding out?
The major difference between me and a fundie, besides my beliefs, is that fundies wouldn't change their personal views if the Flying Spaghetti Monster himself floated down from the sky and said, "You're wrong, bitch!", while if I found what was, in my mind, complete and undeniable proof that God existed, I'd be saying, "Well, alright. I guess I'm off to pray now."
But yeah, extremely, amazingly unlikely.
Mr. Answer, how did you come to the conclusion that the Bible is the Absolute Word of God? Didn't you use human reasoning? If so, then you could be wrong. If not, how do you know that you are right? Maybe an evil spirit convinced you.
I could be wrong, and if an omniscient, omnipotent creature claiming to be god came down, it could easily read the mind of every human, and know exactly what would cause that person to believe without doubt that it was in fact, god.
However, if I am right, as every bit of the evidence would seem to suggest, I can state with fairly high confidence that 1000 years from now there will still be fundies, spouting the word of god, and claiming that Jesus will be back any day now.
More gold from the answers:
"No, atleast we have proof of our existence but you people who believe in gods who are completely imaginary one.
Atheists are better than people who worship other gods than the Lord."
Yes, I could be wrong. While I'm about 99% sure that I'll be reincarnated after I die, there is the possibility that I'm indeed wrong. However, I do know that you fundies are wrong too. Your story is like a fairytale made for 5 year olds who'll believe anything. And it's a damn depressing fairytale, too. As Bill Maher said, "I'M NOT 10!"
Confused?
