{response to scientific evidence backing up the Big Bang theory)

This is so stupid. Almost as stupid as the "evidence" of Neanderthals and carbon dating.

I wonder, why do Christians even care how it happened? God said He did it in six days, He didn't say the six days was equivalent to 6000 years, no, He said six literal days. So if God says the earth was created in six literal days, as Christians, as followers of His, we ought to believe Him. Even if we think we've found something unfortunately from this side of eternity things are skewed. And if for some reason it was 6000 years, or 6 million years, does it really matter? In the end He is God and that's just the way it is.

You are confusing your god with the authors of the bible. Differently from Islam, literalism was never an essential part of Christianity and has only become an issue since the 18th century - and indeed the idea that the bible is literally true sounds utterly mad even to the most devout Christians in the Old World.

^- This is what is being taught to European Christians ... although they use the correct number of years.

So, you have the audacity to call other people stupid, although you yourself take the ramblings in a musty old book for god-ordained. Every single religion has its own creation story, and they seldom tally with each other, so it can't be the same god talking to different people. How could you possibly know that your one is the right one? The only reason you have, really, is that that was the one you learned about, so it must be true.

I don't think it's the scientists that are stupid. They at least look for evidence, and follow it where it leads. You flat out refuse to even look. Never use any medication, OK, as most of them are done with the help of knowledge of evolution. ("Trust those who say they look for the truth, run away from those who say they have found it.")

...well, if not for that 'Need to know'; the 'How's' of things, then the fact a certain gay Atheist used his know[i]how[/i] in bringing the War in Europe part of WWII to an end three years sooner, ensuring 600,000+ US troops coming back home (and thus the future populational/social repercussions for your country) is the least of your problems; he did invent the first digital computer Colossus; his later developments ultimately becoming the very thing - home computers - you're using right now, to say that you don't care about the 'How's' of things, so you'd better stop caring about what you're using to post on Ruptured Retards, and throw it away.

The very fact you're posting - bitching - about this issue: those behind the Big Bang 'theory' all but awarded that Nobel Prize, is conclusive proof that it DOES matter, otherwise you'd just accelerate that lovely (C)Rapture right now; you are 'In this world, but not of it' and all that jazz, amirite? You certainly spend a lot of time bitching about how you are, but daren't do anything about it. Or do you know deep down that what we Atheists say does matter...?
