Titled, Creepy "Left Behind" Thought

Every time I see a headline about a group's reaction after a closed door meeting with Obama, I can't help but think of how Buck felt watching the room full of people be hypnotized by Nicolae Carpathia.

The Republicans saying, "Obama is really reaching out", or "I really think we made some headway in solving this problem", etc.

It kinda scares me. Is he blackmailing them? Has he had the FBI snoop into their backgrounds to find any dirty little secret. Is he bribing them? Has he threatened their families? Why were they so willing to cave in to his agenda?

If only DC was filled with godly people. (sigh)

Can't wait to meet the Lord in the sky.

But then, you need something to distract you from the fact that you Raptards experience your own daily Great Disappointment, especially when the clock strikes midnight wherever you are, and having to do all that 'Cloud Watching' all over again. I mean, 'it could happen any second'?! Try telling that to those who believed exactly like you do, who prayed & waited, waited & prayed ad infinitum ad nauseam, only - on their deathbeds, as they breathed their last, completely unsucked off by their J-man - to experience that ultimate Great Disappointment, only realising then that we Atheists had been right all along, and that they were about to end up exactly like us: cold, clotted, and stuck to the bottom of a box.

Buck Williams is a character in the "Left Behind" books. Towards the end of #1, he's at a conference with the Antichrist, Nicolae Carpathia, who is now head of the UN. During the conference (televised in the book, private in the movie), Carpathia shoots his backers, Stonagal and Todd-Cothran, and makes everyone (except Buck) believe that Stonagal shot Todd-Cothran and then turned the gun on himself. Better yet, this is what the TV cameras see, and Buck is shown to not be there--he has to later tell Chloe, Bruce and Rayford about it.

Hell, even better: the Rapture occurs at the beginning of the book. So for the analogy to work at all, the Rapture has to have happened already.

Also, us DC users worship the almighty Corvax.
