The people they initially said they were doing it for have betrayed them like anti-american cowards. The police haven't bothered trying to open a dialogue with them. The FBI is pretty much ignoring them. Becaause they are doing nothing illegal.

They are carrying firearms in a federal government building without falling under an exemption, which is illegal in its own right (a misdemeanor).
As a bonus since they are illegally seizing Federal Property while doing so the maximum sentence is bumped from 1 year to 5 (making it a felony).

Since when is it not illegal to walk onto someone else's land and commandeer it with guns? "Public land" doesn't mean "anyone with a gun can walk onto it and keep it for their own". It means it belongs jointly to the American people, who deserve to be paid for the use of it. The Federal government collects fees for land use, and those fees help lower our taxes. They aren't "freedom fighting patriots" - they're deadbeats who are illegally occupying our property and screwing the rest of us out of money.

Ok, I'll be honest I'm a) not American and b) haven't done much reading in this incident, but how is this not terrorism? They took over a government building with weapons, I suspect it has a lot to do with the amount of melanin in their skin, iykwim.
