Why kill everyone else (and especially everyone over 40, which would obviously include most experienced researchers into relevant topics) if they just want to become space-travelling immortal cyborgs? Even if they want to kill all the gentiles really, really badly, wouldn't it make more sense to augment first and then to use some superweapon they are immune to, but would be devastating against baseline humanity, killing any survivors with their superpowers?they want to kill everyone because they are Evil" fall apart very obviously. If they are insane, how have they maintained the secret conspiracy for so long? If they are hypercompetent, why don't they realise that killing all their slaves would be counterproductive? Admittedly, minimally more plausible with biologically Evil Jews than with the Freemasons or Illuminati, since it would sidestep the issue of finding enough omnicidal genii every generation... but only minimally. Obviously less an issue if they are aliens, demons, reptoids or other inhumans, but then, they are much less likely to be exist than Evil secret all-powerful (or secretly all-powerful) organisations where the members are still human.

Actually I notice quite the opposite. Almost every couple I know either has children or are currently expecting one.
if they're capable of becoming interstellar immortal cyborgs, they should just do that, and the sooner the better. killing off the rest of us would just be a waste of time, effort, and money, which would be much better used towards becoming immortal spacefarers.
in fact, i'd gladly help them on their way for even a chance at reconstructing their immortality cyborgization technology after the fact. i'm over 40; if we really hurry up, i too could be an immortal cyborg before my remaining life expectancy is up --- i wanna travel the galaxy too.
I think that everyone who talks about "The Elite" is suffering from some sort of inferiority complex. C'mon now, everybody posting junk like this on the internet is (1) so far down the ladder that we cannot even see that there are no elite; there are just some people who are richer and some who are smarter and some who have more power. (2) so far above the bottom of the ladder that the people below us think that WE are the elite, as all of us are richer and smarter and more powerful than someone else.
Perhaps (insert evil laugh here) their Grand Master Plan for us is to watch us dissolve into a little puddle of self-pity. Congratulations.
Even if this was the case, the only thing I have a real issue with is a hypothetical, nigh-impossible "die off" as you've put it. Bring on the singularity, I wanna be a cyborg.
