Theories in science tend to be educated guesses. However, if you are educated in theories, all you will get is theories. And indeed (the motto of christianforums) all theories are to a degree assumption. Thus, many are educated in assumption. Cheers for the laws of nature, and cheers for the cure for X, but assumption will never get you anywhere until it becomes fact.

There it is again, one of the great Fundie blind spots. They refuse to learn what a theory is. It is not a guess or casual conjecture. It is a proposed solution to some question; a solution supported by the evidence. In the case of evolution theory it the solution best supported by the overwhelming majority of the evidence.
actually, a theory is the highest status anything can be given, and this status is only given after hours and hours of research. so please, dont insult our "educated guesses" with you uneducated stupidity. many theories are widely accepted as fact.

They always reduce a theory to it's simpliest form to imply it's simple, like their shit. Being educated in theory(s) however is understanding all the principals, accumilated evidences and succesful predictions that show the theory stands as the best understanding of the truth.
