In 1999, I knew almost nothing about computers. Today I build, repair and upgrade them (it's my job; but then not so much a job, as a hobby I get paid to do!). Learning new things. Becoming self-taught. All down to the education I received, where I was encouraged to think for myself. As science populariser Dr. Karl Kruzselnicki says: 'Learning can only be a good thing'. So when Gloryhole detects a gas leak in his home, he's not going to call out a properly-trained, apprenticeship-served & educated engineer (as all gas engineers here in the UK have to be CORGI registered by law) to fix such, he'll just ask his neighbour to get his toolbox out and tinker about; and when he can't see what he's doing and strikes a match...! >:D

How many actual computer setups - to say nothing of individual components - are made in the US? How long before Lenovo - formerly the laptop subsidiary of IBM - develop & produce the first laptop-sized Quantum Computer? You want to be inferior to China, you go right ahead Dumbfuckistan.
