Why should we believe in evolution? After all it's just a theory and no one was there when it happened. Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together. And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea. The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?

Why should we believe in the bible? After all, it's just a bunch of stories and no one was there when it happened.
Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together. And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea.
Source please.
Also, science changes over time, the bible dosent.
The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?
There are rocks older that 6,000 years old.
Why should we believe in evolution?
Because you can see it happening. If you mean the Theory of Evolution, it's the best explanation we have for the development of the variety of life on this planet.
After all it's just a theory
It's a scientific Theory, and a fact. Go look it up.
and no one was there when it happened.
Again, it's still happening; evolution hasn't stopped.
Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together.
Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 160 million years; they weren't just around for one generation. What are you talking about?
And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea.
Again, they didn't all live together, so your incomprehensible argument is irrelevant.
The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?
Not even close.
Hey, I don't see television programs get beamed into my TV through air, so the only logical conclusion is that God magically beams shows right into my TV.
He uses Jesus as an antenna.
Why should we believe in evolution?
Because thus far it is the most robust explanation we have for the observations made.
After all it's just a theory...

3: the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art <music theory>
5: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena <the wave theory of light>
...and no one was there when it happened.
Atta boy! Now take the one final necessary step to obtaining a measure of objectivity and wisdom: Apply that sentence to Creationist dogma. I know you can do it.
The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?
Ooooo! So close and yet so many light years away.
"Why should we believe in evolution?"
It's well supported by multiple lines of evidence from various fields of science, all of which are in agreement with one another with regards to the major points of the theory.
"After all it's just a theory and no one was there when it happened."
Just a theory? You have no idea how much I hate it when people say that.
"Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together."
Who discovered that? Strange that they're scattered all over hell and back through the various geological strata if they all lived together.
"And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea. The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?"
No. No "okay" you imbecile. Go take a geology class or three.
Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together.
At first I thought you were refering to a specific situation where one or a few dinosaurs species were thought to have lived at a certain time and then it was shown that such was incorrect. However, after rereading your post and noticing that you refered to "all" the dinosaurs twice I can only conclude that you are under the impression that all dinosaur species lived at the same time period. Most likely the discovery for such a claim was made by a Christian "scientist." Although how you prove this without trusting some sort of dating method (none of which support the idea that the world is 6,000 years old) is beyond me...No wait, that's incorrect, I have a pretty good idea how onw thinks they can prove both of those claims to be true, but despite what you may think the bible does not disprove mountains of scientific evidence.
"no one was there when it happened"
When it 'happened'? Are all fundies under the impression that evolution was just a one time event, like Woodstock?(I'm not counting Woodstock '99. Fuck that.)
And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea.
Wait, what? I honestly cannot interpret that. I can get an idea of what it might mean, but it would be like me trying to interpret 14th century conversational English. The grammar is just that off. It's like they were playing madlibs without a clear concept of nouns, adjectives, and verbs.
I'm so sick of this "JUST" a theory bullshit (though thanks for spelling it correctly). You don't even seem to know what a theory is!
According to Princeton: "a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world"
With this definition in mind, the Theory of Evolution takes on a new meaning (well, it catches you up on the learning curve if you take notice). It suggests that there is much evidence in favor of this notion.
Speculation according to Princeton: "a hypothesis that has been formed by speculating or conjecturing (usually with little hard evidence)"
So, if it were called the Speculation of Evolution, you would not be in a position of logical fallacy to call it: "just" a speculation.
Who was there when Jesus walked the earth? Anyone you know? Yet you believe a 2,000 year old book written by various authors; many of them unknown. There is no way to fact check that one. Yet, you question a scientific theory based on the works and study of more than one living, breathing person? With years of verifiable documentation behind it?
Besides, evolution is happening right here, right now. So, there are more than six billion witnesses to it. How many more witnesses do you need?
"Why should believe in evolution?"
You shouldn't, you should accept it as fact based upon the evidence.
"After all it's just a theory..."
If I am ever king of the world I will impose a tax of 10,000 dollars every time a fundtard utters that phrase demonstrating their ignorance.
"Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together."
Dinosaurs did not live all together, please stop relying on Kent Hovind and D James Kennedy as your sources of science news.
"Why should we believe in evolution? After all it's just a theory and no one was there when it happened."
Why should we believe in creation? After all it's just a myth and no one was there when it supposedly happened.
theyu didn't all live together and nobody ever supposed that they did, aside from you perhaps. They all lived cumulatively for millions of years through various stages of evolution and what not. "Just a theory' suggests that it's an unfounded idea, however a scientific theory is a totally substantiated idea.
After all it's just a theory and no one was there when it happened.
Actually, we're all here, while it IS HAPPENING.
According to my World History textbook, human beings first occupied North America around 10,000 years ago. So yeah, you fail forever.
>>The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?<<
No. Not okay.
You could argue Last Thursdayism, but any young-Earth statement other than that requires wholesale rejection of observable reality.
And rejecting reality ends in exactly one way - reality comes back and kills you.
" they discovered they all lived together"
This is flood theory propaganda, I've seen several creationist claim damn near every lifeform is found in one layer, a straight out lie but one they have to keep up or the Noah and creation stories fall apart.
It's deliberate misinformation designed to keep the faithful happy and foster mistrust of science. Hundreds of thousands of Americans are convinced science lies based on repeated propaganda like this
Read up on scientific theories, numbskull. They are the closest things we have to "truth".
As evolution is happening right now, we were all there when it happened.
Not all dinosaurs lived together, no. Dinosaur fossils have been found in many places around the world, in many different layers.
Nope, that's not OK, not at all, stupid.
"Why should we believe in evolution?"
Think: evidence.
"The Earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?"
No, it's not okay, since it's bollocks.
And for the middle bit: yeah, isn't it annoying, when new information and data changes something? Why can't everything be as simple as "goddidit!". Ugh.
“Why should we believe in evolution?”
You shouldn’t. Just keep lecturing on stuff you know absolutely nothing about, showing your idiocy.
“After all it's just a theory”
Like gravity. Orbital mechanics. Relativity. Everything that makes GPS and cellphones work…
“and no one was there when it happened. Kind of like how they tried saying the dinosaurs all lived millions of years apart, and then wait they discovered they all lived together.”
I think you’re a teensy bit confused.
“And they decided the millions of years apart from where they were buried at in the layers of earth, so if they all lived together, there goes that idea”
No, that idea’s fine.
“The earth is only about 6,000 years old, okay?”
Well, there’s the GEOLOGY tht says millions, and an anonymous account that ssays things someone used to calculate 6000. Someone who wasn’t there.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
