Why do science spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of God? Spending so much money to find out if life ever existed in other planets. I think (and this is only my opinion) that instead of spending billions of dollars on this... why not spend $10 on a Bible. Study it and find the answers to all of your questions concerning evolution and creation. See, the Bible is the oldest book on the face of the earth. Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of.

Why do science spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of God?
They do?
Spending so much money to find out if life ever existed in other planets.
That's what science does. It's part of exo-biology and astronomy.
I think (and this is only my opinion) that instead of spending billions of dollars on this... why not spend $10 on a Bible.
Yeah, that book really helps man advance.... except the Dark Ages, the Crusades, the Programs, etc.
Study it and find the answers to all of your questions concerning evolution and creation.
Yeah, wrong answers.
See, the Bible is the oldest book on the face of the earth.
It isn't. Try the I Ching .
Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of.
Like how insects have four legs and bats are birds! Amazing!
So it's old - so what? What matters is science, reason, logic, evidence. Observed reality trumps any fairytale.
"Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of." If we don't know of them, then how do you know we know of them?
Fun logical exercise aside, where in your $10 Bible can I find information on building an airplane? Synthesizing cancer drugs? Determining the composition of other planets' atmospheres? Repairing aneurisms? Tracing human migration out of Africa through linguistic and genetic drift? Etc., etc., etc.
It costs money, but science can do all of that, and much more. Keep lookin."
Science doesn't need to spend any money denying the existence of God. That can be done for free. Observe:
Saying "I deny the existence of god": $0
Breakfast at Denny's instead of going to church: $8
Inference based on logic and evidence rather than superstition and a monomanical obsession with a single ancient text: Priceless.
I cannot suspend my intelligence enough to believe unquestioningly in a book that is a mish-mash of superstitions, hate, violence, ignorance, intolerance, mistranslations, half-truths and downright lies.
"Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of. "
I can help but feel a bit more dumber after reading that line. Besides, is that the english language he is using or what, because most of his words didnt fit into any context...sort of like the bible he is advertising.

Why do science spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of God?
They do? I'm still waiting for the approval for a grant for my paper on "God does not exist." Where do I tap into this research money?

The Bible may have a whole whack of answers. Most of them are wrong.
See, the Bible is the oldest book on the face of the earth. [citation required] iow lying for Jesus again!
Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of.
and that we cannot validate ...
What does life on other planets have to do with god or gods? And your bible has no answers it...only opinions much like your own opinion that the bible has answers in it.
Also, Bible isn't the oldest book, and you fail.
The bible isn't the oldest book, although it is a fairly old one.
Science has no objective, other than to learn the truth. No one is trying to disprove god, they just so happened to have done it along the way.
Science doesn't spend any time or money trying to deny God. God is unquantifiable and completely unknown so he cannot be included in any scientific study.
The money spent on space exploration is a drop in the bucket compared to what our government spends on killing other people around the world. Why don't you spend any time getting upset about that?
And as far as oldest books... true. Oldest account written? False. You might try reading some cuneiform on clay tablets for that. And they haven't been translated hundreds of times.
BUT WHERE DOES THE BIBLE TELL ME HOW TO LOAD MY NEW OS?!?!?!?!?!
Or how to drive a car, fly a plane. Hell it doesn't even tell me how to hitch a horse to a cart, or how to fix a broken wheel. Not really a lot of answers in that book.
[Why do science spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of God?]
Scientists aren't trying to deny the existence of God, straw man. They're trying to understand our universe. If what they find contradicts your faith, well...
[Study it and find the answers to all of your questions concerning evolution and creation.]
Do these answers hold up to critical analysis?
[See, the Bible is the oldest book on the face of the earth.]
No, it is not.
[Yet it reveals things that we don't even know of. ]
Then what good is it?
Oldest book? Ha! Temples in Egypt go back several more thousand years than 6000, Native American traditions go back to the last ice age, and so does India's story, the Mahabharata.
History's a bitch, ain't it?
Well if we discover life on other planets, they may not be affected by original sin, so they can help you reconcile more perfectly with God. So you ought to encourage all you co-believers to support SETI funding.
I doubt science has spent even a dollar on trying to deny the existence of God. Spending money on learning about our world and everything in it, on the other hand, they do every day. But none of that is done with the purpose to deny or prove any deities existence.
TEN dollar on a Bible? Why, when it can be found for free on the net, in many different versions?
You're wrong; the Bible is not the oldest book on the face of the Earth. It might be the oldest PRINTED book, as the first book Gutenberg printed was a Bible, but that was fairly recently (if you compare with the age of the world) in 1455. The only thing it reveals, really, is that it is a compilation of many different stories from many different sources, and that it is therefore contradictory and sometimes downright WRONG! But we all knew that already.
What about the gap theory? What about the fact that it never specifies an exact date of creation, and instead goes with in the beginning, leaving the old earth theory still possible? What about reading it as a fucking allegory?
Science spends more money trying to cure Male pattern Baldness than it does trying to disprove God.
Actually it spends more trying to cure Male pattern Baldness than it does trying to cure Malaria but that's a different matter...
"so much money"
Zero?
lol
Why do creationists spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of evolution? Spending so much money to deny evolution occurs when they don't even believe in it. I think (and this is only my opinion) that instead of spending millions of dollars on this... why not read a Biology textbook. Study it and find the answers to most questions concerning evolution. See, science is the single best way to determine truth. Science makes verifiable predictions that we continue to validate. Science reveals "goddidit" isn't an answer.
“Why do science spend so much money in trying to deny the existence of God?”
They don’t. Science cannot prove or disprove magic.
What you’re butthurt abuot is that science doesn’t uphold a literal reading of the Bible. Because it also cannot do that.
“Spending so much money to find out if life ever existed in other planets.”
Has nothing to do with disproving gods.
“I think (and this is only my opinion) that instead of spending billions of dollars on this... why not spend $10 on a Bible.”
Because science cannot use magic.
“Study it and find the answers to all of your questions concerning evolution and creation.”
No, bubbles. we’re talking science not “just so” stories.
" See, the Bible is the oldest book on the face of the earth”
No, it’s really not.
Confused?
