Websters defines political liberalism as: "a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil"
Completely ignoring the fact that Manson and his cult were not "liberal" in any sense of the word. The best way to describe Manson is as a strange cross between a facist and an anarchist. (And no, that doesn't really make sense, but neither did Manson.) His "plan" was to incite a race war between blacks and whites which he believed blacks would win, and then he and his "family" would emerge from hiding and take their places as rulers of the "subhuman" blacks. really don't have a bloody clue what the word means. You are defining "liberal" as "evil" and "immoral." It doesn't mean that, no matter what Pat Robertson and the RNC want you to believe.
Even if that's true, one bad apple does not spoil the harvest. Just because there is one person doing something evil in the name of some philosophy doesn't always mean the philosophy is inherently evil, just that the person is.
I thought that they said that they sticked together because they thought that a new era was coming.............but of course, you can´t invent in internet your alternative bizarro universe. After all, nobody is going to shame you in public for saying such nonsenses.

Liberalism is a political view focusing on the freedom of the individual to make his or her fortune and happiness his or her way, equality, and limitations on the power of the government. It's a right-wing political philosophy.
From what it says in Wikipeida, Manson seems to have built his "philosophy" on Scientology and hippie culture. Very, very far from liberalism. Plus, he is insane.
