@DOS
"AS WELL as to influence the laws and nations they live in; its a duty"
Do you realise the implications of what you've just said? Especially when you take into account Romans 13:1-7.
Thus you fundies - even the 'Pro-Lifers' must accept Roe vs. Wade in 1973, and accept that abortion is legal, and thus forfeit the right to criticise that law. Indeed, the Religious Right, neocons & teabaggers have condemned themselves to agree to President Obama's Health Reform Bill that passed into law recently.
Because by doing so, they're defying God's word: Romans 13:1-7
And don't dare accuse us of 'misinterpreting' that part of Scripture; if it says it that way, it means it that way. After all, it sytates that, if a government makes a law, it is God who gives them the power to do so*. You don't want to go against their creator, right? The Bible is, as you fundies claim, the literal Word of God.
Amirite?
*- Romans 1-3 (emphasis added): 'Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
I trust you'll pass the message along to all those who protest outside abortion clinics, DOS. You 'Pro-Lifers' certainly don't exactly show the same enthusiasm in doing so in China, where abortions happen on a virtually industrial scale.
But then, that's you of the Religious Right all over: Hypocrites. If you can't do the same over there, you have no right to protest against - or even criticise - abortion in your own country.
See you on that plane to Beijing, DOS. If you dare.
