Well, it is not God's fault if we burn forever. We have our chance on earth to believe or disbelieve. It is his punishment. This is like prison for murderers.

Well, there goes the omnibenevolent aspect of the Xian god. How about omnipresent... no, I don't notice him anywhere.
Tenka, I'm sure the orthodox ones who fell in with being like the Pharisees must be living in utter torment. There are believers who aren't, but they aren't what I would call fundies.
Actually, the Christian system IS more like that of the Godfather, "making an offer we (supposedly) can't refuse." If you want to make the case for it being like the justice system, it's definitely a corrupt one; it amounts being jailed for eternity because one didn't properly bribe the judge.
The idea that disbelief is worthy of punishment clearly identifies your God as not perfectly benevolent. Then there's the more obvious problem in comparing it to our justice system - Hell is infinite punishment for finite crimes. Even with the death penalty, the punishment is necessarily finite since you wouldn't have lived forever otherwise (the main issue with it being that it's irrevocable). A benevolent, just God would not dole out infinite punishment for finite crimes - the punishment has to fit the crime.
Hmm... according to a lot of Fundies, he kills people that he doesn't like, pretty much runs the world...
I'd say he's a bit like the Mafia.
