One thing to keep in mind: The Scriptures only record Jesus's dealings with sinners who were repentant, or who were ready to repent, or who if unrepentant in their hearts were at least outwardly righteous in their public actions. There is not one single example of Jesus fellowshipping with or ministering to someone who was living in open, blatant sin, who was proud of it, and who refused to repent of it.

Didn't want a challenge, eh?
Well, maybe the church edited such examples out of the Bible, when it was compiled, in order not to give people ideas concerning Jesus & the church...?

I've pointed this out before, but I'll do it again anyway. When you're the author of fiction your characters do anything you want. Or, in this case, don't do anything you don't want.
Firstly, since when is "fellowship" a verb? Verbing weirds language.
Secondly, does ehbowen think Jesus approves of hypocrites? Because He didn't.
Forthright views from a concerned fundie, part 52.
If you take into consideration the sum total of all the wickedness and sex in the world today would we actually
be better off whooshing off to our heavenly mansions?
O my Lord please make my mansion one that a spirit would be proud of, with golden columns and marble floors and large oil paintings in the hall. Er, you do have gold and marble in heaven don't you? And, er, large oil paintings? And will there be a garage large enough for all my heavenly Rolls Royces? And please can I keep my cock when I'm a ghost? It's not that I am expecting many opportunities for sexual pleasure, but I might be overcome by feelings of desire for my Lord when I see Him killing and destroying homosexuals and liberals.
AT LEAST OUTWARDLY RIGHTEOUS
Because he never actually discouraged that sort of thing, did he?
Oh, wait a tic, yes he FUCKING DID!

Describes RR to a "T".
Just a quick note re: 'fellowship' -
Although it obviously is a noun, in some church circles the word is used as a verb. I remember it from when I was a xian (though we're talking 35+ years ago!) when it was quite common for churches over here (the UK) to fellowship each other. It's a form of shorthand encompassing communication, friendship, commitment, group worship, fellow-feeling and togetherness. There probably is a verb that includes all those, but 'fellowship' also had overtones of exclusivity.
You can look at it as a precursor of LOLspeke, if you like!

Wrong.
Jesus asked Zacchaeus to join him for dinner, before Zacchaeus repented of his sins. (Zacchaeus didn't repent until after Jesus was kind to him.)
Zacchaeus is usually described as a "tax collector", which people today think of as "he worked for the equivalent of the IRS." That misses half the story -- he was a Jewish tax collector for the Romans . In other words, he was a collaborator, and to an occupied people, there are few things hated more than a collaborator.
So, not only did Jesus associate with the sinner Zacchaeus, he associated with one of the worst imaginable sinners to the Jewish people of the day.
@ El Guapo
I've seen friending used, but never brotherhooding!
Wouldn't facebooking be part of this new-fangled evil sciencey stuff the funditards hate so much?
*grunble* I see my first comment posted twice, dammit... Sorry 'bout that, don't know how to get rid of the second post.
On the other side, he really WAS "fellow shipping" with twelve men. Mostly poor fisher men, with large muscles. Except Apostle John, pretty as a girl and fond of sleeping in Jesus' lap... And the only girls in the story are his mother and a whore...
Conclusion: Editing "holly" texts is a bitch when you don't really know what you're doing. And really hate women. And are uneducated in languages yourself. And... You get the idea.
So why dont you be like Jesus and leave us atheists alone? I am SO SICK of hearing about your fucking mythology. And if I ask one of you ass clowns to please not preach to me because Im not religious, then you place your cross hairs on me and I NEVER fucking hear the end of your stupid fucking mythology.
For once..just for once I would LOVE to come across a budhist or Muslim or AN
YTHING OTHER THAN CHRISTI-FUCKEN-ANITY!!!!
Sorry about the rant... I would just like to see some real variety available instead of just repackaged versions Christ-tard-anity.
Pontius Pilate: Procurator or Prefect of Judaea?
Just the above alone proves that the likes of you are lying is the least of any fundie's problems. If the Bible itself lies, then the fact that your J-boy dealt with someone who never recognised your concept of 'Sin' - if the Bible itself can't even recognise the actual position of one of the NT's major players in the scenario - is the least of your own Millerite cult's problems.
But then, along with not even being able to name the specific pharaoh that Moses dealt with, never mind find one example of the word 'Rapture' even remotely referencing 'Going Up' in your book of fairytales, I'd say you Raptards having to worry more about how Revelation 22:18 should be the only thing to keep in mind.
Er no; not at all! Matthew 25:41-46
You clearly haven't read that Bible of yours, have you.
Even the fig tree was refusing to repent of not bearing fruit in off-season.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
