Homosexuality: Not gay here but could care less what people do in their bedrooms. Could care less if two guys wanna hold hands at a ball game and, yes, I think that gays should have teh same civil rights as hetero married couples. Why do you care what other people do? Are you that insecure?
Abortion: I would like to see less abortions in the US but perhaps if the idiotic religious right would stop this "abstinence only" nonsense we could educate people better about sex and we would have fewer unwanted pregnancies. The worst thing in the world would be for abortion to be illegal again, it would be devastating to our economy, crime rates etc.
Rape: As an atheist, I think that rape is wrong, unless of course you are a Catholic Priest.
Murder: Again, in general murder should be avoided unless you are killing someone who worships a different imaginary friend then you do.

Most religions I know have tried to normalise rape, murder, abortion and homosexuality some time in their history(with different methods and different results, I think). Concerning rape and murder, look at Bush and Iraq. And look at death penalty or arranged marriages, for that matter.

Atheism as a concept doesn't do any of those things. Some atheists might do them but that doesn't mean that atheism is inherently evil or that all atheists have no morals.
As far as homosexuality goes, people are trying to "normalize" it because IT IS NORMAL! It doesn't hurt anyone, so stop calling it "evil."

Personally, I'm against rape and murder, I support the death penalty, I don't want to destroy America, it's doing a fine job of that itself, and I think homosexuals should have the same rights as heterosexuals.

There are loads of homophobic atheists (shame, but there you have it), and I'm sure that there are loads of atheists who oppose abortion. What fundies don't seem to get into their heads is that we're not one big homogeneous group, but that in fact the only thing we have in common is our disbelief in god/s.

I think the ones trying to normalize rape are misogynistic rape apologists who demand women to be subservient and claim sex is something they have a right to.any serious crime, and have little concern at all for the tragic states of the most poor and disadvantaged.
I think the ones that have no morals are the ones who think that the above infractions are somehow irrelevant, but normalizing homosexuality and permitting abortion are absolutely unforgivable.

From someone who calls himself the "poooothunter", at Gamefaqs. Ok, you've sold me. Really, though, homosexuality is normal, abortion, while I agree isn't the best choice, is sometimes necessary, and you fundies are more for murder than any liberal or atheist. It's fundy xtians in the US that has a complete lack of morals, while using an outdated book of fairy tales to justify their evil and vile practices.
