I always thought Neil Peart was libertarian.
At Freepers some regard 2112 as their anthem, listening to it to dull the pain of Obama being voted in as I recall. If I can find it again it's almost worthy of its own thread. Certainly as good as Bro Randy claiming in his blog that the Obamination (TM Bro Randy) will reintroduce slavery (which seems to have not been fundie enough to be included here).

The only time that I can think of where abortions were mandatory in North America, was during the 40's & 50's when right wingers demanded that people classified mentally deficient had abortions if they were pregnant and then sterilized. A lot of those women have now successfully sued their state/provincial governments over it.

Abortion is a option that should exist when it is necessary. If you don't want one, DON'T GET ONE.

I'm sure you could find at least, oh, three people in the whole US who are so die-hard VHEMT that they do think that in any case where a pregnancy occurs, a woman should have to abort. Those people wouldn't even be a good indicator of the wider population of those who believe in voluntary extinction, much less liberals or pro-choice people on the whole.

Besides, the moron can't seem to figure out that a bit of work ethic and beautifying the community you live in (seriously, go around where you live and take a trash bag with you. It's wonderful to see the area clean of debris) is a GOOD THING.
I live a hundred yards from a school and have a leylandii hedge separating my front garden from the footpath. This morning I pulled a burger box out of it and while I was out there with a black bag I pulled one out of my neighbour's hedge too.
Guess I'm just a slave.
As I recall Bro Randy lives in a trailer. I expect spending an hour or so wandering around with a black bag might improve his environment too.
Where do they get these ideas, anyway? Anyone who thought abortions ought to be mandatory would be looked at as kind of fucked up on the left. (Most of us think that about China's one-child policy, for example.)

I agree. Every man must choose for himself whether he will have an abortion, just as every woman must choose for herself.
