Because you can see the good in it, look at all the other religions, they are require you worship idols, give of yourself till it hurts, you must work for your salvation. Or you must kill everyone else who does not worship your gods etc. Christianity is the only religion which is free from all the crap.

First, you say this like it's a bad thing. Second, it becomes an earned thing pretty quickly when there's someone you don't like.

Or you must kill everyone else who does not worship your gods etc.

(roughly translated) "Better not to pray at all than to sacrifice too much"
- The Havamal, Odin's words to Mankind.

It means, don't scrape and simper at the feet of the gods if you can live by yourself. Don't "sacrifice" meaning give everything to the gods in payment for their deeds, if it would simply be too much for you and you don't need their help anyway. "Don't ask the gods for things, pray (sacrifice) if the price of it would be too high".
Oh, also, I seem to remember something in the bible ordering you to give 10 percent of everything you own to the church on a regular basis.

Simply put, you fail.

How about that story (Judges chapter 19) that deals with the concubine who was viciously gang-raped all night (until she died) and when dawn came, her husband cut her body up?

Second Thessalonians 2:11 says that "god shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they might be damned." Why the fuck would god do that? Oh, I know: he's an evil monster not worthy of worship.

What about the creepy story of Lot's daughters, who rape their sleeping father and are impregnanted by him?

What about the cruelty of the Flood or Sodom and Gomorrah--God didn't care about the children in the cities, did he?

How about that weird basis against masturbation and birth control? It can be found in Genesis 38:8. Judah tells Onan to "go in unto they brother's wife." But "Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and ... when he went in unto his brother's wife ... he spilled it on the ground.... And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; wherefore he slew him also."

Numbers 16:20-35 Because of a dispute between Korah and Moses, God has the ground open up and swallow Korah, Dathan, and Abiram "and their wives, and their sons, and their little children." Then, just for the hell of it, God has a fire burn to death 250 "men that offered incense."
