“There are as many theories as there are scientists.”
No, there really aren’t. If X is the number of theories of, say, the age of the sun among astrophysicists, adding Y biologists to the study does not mean there are X + Y theories of the age of the sun among scientists.
“They're called speculation, not facts.”
Well, no. There ARE facts, which the theories are based upon. Everyone uses the same facts so there’s not THAT much variation in the theories.
And the speculation, in science, is where we get hypotheses, not theories.
“That just shows that scientists are as confused as anyone else whod doesn't believe in God.”
You’re just being bigoted, now.
“The sun is stationary and the earth orbits around it.”
Depending on your point of reference, but yes.
“But the earth also rotates as it orbits. At least that's what scientists say.”
Do you have a non-superstitious reason to question it?
“But since they change their minds every decade, then everything they say should be taken with a grain of salt.”
Hmm. I’ve been alive for six decades and they haven’t changed their mind about Earth rotation in that time… Maybe even MORE!
