On topic: People ask if there is such a thing as an atheist Republican, and the answer is a simple and unqualified yes.
Slightly-off topic: I found some "Christian Democratic" parties in other countries. So far, all of them are at least right-of-center.

There's no such thing as a real Christian Republican. The Rethuglican Party is a dictatorial, arrogant, neo-fascist party hell-bent on allowing a bunch of fundy nutjobs ABSOLUTE power.
Several European countries have Christian Democrat Parties. They are the conservative parties in those countries, sometimes in coalition with a National Party. I think this is true in Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands, maybe some others.
It's funny. If Pelosi has issues with the her local Bishop over communion, it means she's a Christian, DON'T YOU THINK?(otherwise, the question wouldn't affect her). And by the way, isn't Iraq war INCOMPATIBLE with Christian faith too?, or adultery, Mr MacCaine?

Neither is a pile of poo. The Democrats manage to govern the country without destroying the world in the process, and a pile of poo is much more useful than the Republican party.
