Where do wind chimes come from? Clapperless bells were called “yongzhong” and were used to accompany religious rites and ceremonies. Skilled artists and workers of metal created these bells which were the forerunner of the wind chime. Buddhists hung thousands of these chimes and bells on the eaves of shrines, pagodas and temples. Many were highly decorated and carved or cast into many shapes and sizes. The purpose was to cause an awesome sound sensation and belief they would attract DEMON-SPIRITS.

"DEMON-SPIRITS"
Is this a DIPSIT-SERMON?
The purpose of wind chimes is to make pretty noises while they hang on your balcony.
Also, Asian spiritual practices are aimed at repelling demonic spirits.
Free in the Lord ministries was set up to attract demon spirits to hoodwink genuine Christians away from God and fill them with petty worries over wind chimes, cuddly toys, and anything remotely fun or cultured.
Where do dumb fundies come from? Clueless dumbbells were called “dumbfucks” and were used to accompany fundie-ist rites and ceremonies. Unskilled schooling and workers of paranoia created these bells which were the forerunner of Free in the Lord. Fundies were thousands of these dumbbells on the eaves of internet websites, Many were highly decorated and carved or cast into many shapes and sizes. The purpose was to cause such an immensely stupid sensation and belief they would attract DUMB-SPIRITS.
Our wind chime is made of bamboo rods. It must be repelling demons, as we have never got the slightest hint of demons as long as we've had it.
Not that we had hints of demons before that either; perhaps they knew we were one day going to find this large wind chime at Sweden's oldest (about a thousand years old) and largest street market, in Skänninge, so they knew it was no use attaching themselves to us...

"Are DEMON-SPIRITS like DEMON MUSHROOMS?"
I thought DEMON-SPIRITS referred to absinth?
Oh, and does anyone know if you need a special kind of wind chime to attract succubi? Or will absinth do that as well?

“ The purpose was to cause an awesome sound sensation and belief they would attract DEMON-SPIRITS.”
If they’re attracting demons, it’s in the manner of a bug zapper.
A friend in Georgia read the manual of the bug zapper he bought. Says to hang the zapper about 70′ from the space you’re trying to protect, since they attract bugs.
He doesn’t have a 70′ yard. So he bought a second one and gave them to his neighbors. THEY didn’t read the manual, and just hung them on the back porch like everyone else. They got to watch bugs go pop, he got to sit in a bug-free patio.
Either way, the bells are to KEEP demons away from the inside of the building. Where the people are. I always heard repel, but if you know better, they might be being trapped in the bells with those annoying tones in their ears all day and night…
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
