Atheism has scientific evidence supporting it. It is not proven correct, but it has evidence supporting it.
Science hasn´t given any evidence of its existance either, so here is where your paradigm breaks. And a religion is more than a belief, with or without scientific evidence. It´s a set of beliefs, rites and lifestyles. That´s where atheism doesn´t match. It´s connected to religion, but not a religion.

Your god, if he exists, is a supernatural being. Science is the study of the natural world. You believe in the supernatural instead. We do not require your uninformed opinion of either atheism or science.
