If he won't talk then he is obviously hiding something. That is one thing wrong with america today, people are soft [by refusing to torture prisoners].

If he won't talk then he is obviously hiding something,,,,, or maybe, just maybe, he doesn't know?
"Alright Billy, where's the shine? Give it up."
"I don't have any!" [screaming]
"We have witnesses who say they saw smoke coming from your property, you must have a distillery"
"It was just a campfire, honest! Ahhhhhh"
"Sure it was, I'll believe you when frogs evolve into cows before my eyes. Thurman, get the clamps."
"Ahhhhhhhhh"
See how this works? It doesn't.
Yup, it's the good old Spanish Inquisition all over again.
"How do you plead ?"
"Innocent"
"All right cardinal, get ....... the rack!!"
"If he won't talk then he is obviously hiding something."
If he won't talk then he may not actually know anything.
Soft? No. Sensible enough to know that torture doesn't produce accurate intel, yes. People will say anything to make the pain stop. That doesn't mean what they are saying is true.
And of course I'm not a fucking psycho who gets off on the idea of harming others, either.
once you decide you can do it for some, extraorrdinary, crimes, you can do it for the ordinary, or for convenience, or to suit some powerful person.
once you make that initial decision
EternalWarrior, given thirty minutes with you and a heated pair of pliers and I could get you to confess to being the anti-christ.
Tortured people will say anything to make the torture stop.
