All the new Bible versions attack Christ's deity, remove the word “Godhead” and diminish Jesus' preeminence. What better way to destroy the churches than to change the truth of the Word of God into a lie. Romans 1:25, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Please use only the King James Bible—love it, cherish it, read it, hear it, memorize it, hold it against your chest at night when your heart aches, proclaim it, study it and share it!

Although I think that you're ignorant ChristoFrum dork, at least we both agree that D.J. Stupid has a major case of the crazies (albeit for different reasons).

Don't get me wrong, I think Jesus was cool. I don't hate the guy at all. However, your ilk tend to ignore much of his life and teachings and focus more on Paul & the Hebrew Testament.

You're a bunch of prejudiced misogynist homophobic jerks who support policies that make things harder for the poor & underprivileged. IMHO, from what I've read in the Gospels, Jesus was a Progressive Socialist Proto-Hippie who was fine with free healthcare, social equality, tax-paying, Church-State separation and not jumping into war for stupid reasons.

As for that bit about "I've not come to bring peace, but a sword....", well....he was simply saying that people would wage war, pogroms, witch hunts, etc. in his name. It would be pretty OOC for him to endorse that stuff considering the other stuff he said.

You & D.J. may focus on the atonement part of Jesus but you ignore his social teachings. You focus on dumb things like what two guys are doing in their bedroom rather than fighting poverty, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, showing utter compassion, kindness & charity.

And that is why we revile your philosophy. This is why we hate your authoritarian, take-scriptures-way-too-literally, exclusivist, sexist, bigoted ways.

For a bit there I was "there's denominational Bibles that don't 'son of God, or part of God Jesus?"

Thanks folks for letting me know Dave was just splitting hairs here, trying to imply a huge separation of theology on one insignificant word.
But that's what they do eh?

Years of fundies calling names, incorporating ghosts, aliens, psychics, werewolves and vampires into their Biblical myth, rewriting American history and creating false origins for their own sects and then,,,, calling the others dogmatic and accusing them of adding things not in the Bible.

Got to be some of the easiest work on the planet, make a claim not in the Bible and the flock goes "sounds sensible". Tell me dave, is the Lochness monster, who many in fundiland say "has to be real", is he a Dragon or Dinosaur? Quick before Hovind steals your thunder.

Jesus was not "cool". Not by your definition, at least. To quote the esteemed Dr. Tony Demarcus, "Jesus had one man eaten alive by a swarm of worms because the man failed to give Jesus His due (Acts 12:23). Jesus struck a Jew blind for thwarting His teachings. (Acts 13:8-11). He struck a man dumb for not paying close enough attention (Luke 1:20). He SCARED a husband and wife to DEATH for not giving Him all the money they made on a real estate transaction!!!! (Acts 5:1-10). Does this sound like love and forgiveness to you? Jesus had to hate these people to be able to do these abhorred acts. This is the Jesus that we know and worship."

Jesus hates you (Ps. 5:5) and will send you directly into the fiery pit (John 3:17-18), Praise Him!
