There is no record of christians EVER killing ANYONE. And the one's who kill "in god's name" do so with ABSOLUTELY NOOO support from the church.

Interesting how the two sentences completely contradict one another. This guy would make a lousy lawyer.
"My client didn't kill anybody, but if he did , the don didn't know about it, I swear!"
Learn your history - The church put scientists on trial and executed (aka killed) them for being heritics just because they found proof of things that went against the bible. However, it went beyond that. The church gained so much power in the state that it could and did kill anyone based on any rules that they came up up and it's not just the Catholic church that has does this (incase you're one of those nuts who say Catholics aren't Christian). The problem seems to be that you are uneducated and get knowledge from other ignorant people as these non-existant records of yours are actually quite extensive.
Hawker - it was some guy called Arnaud at Beziers, and actually talking about distinguishing between Christians and a subsect of Christians on a mini crusade in France between the other crusades. They killed 20,000 Roman Catholics to steal their land - and yes it was sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Pope.
It's about 2/3 of the way down here.

No record?, what about the Crusades, dear?. Or the Inquisition?. And they have some support from the Church, if not explicit, at least by omision. But of course, d'you know what happens?, that the church is made of tons of people, so ones agree with what you do, some don´t.
Let's also not forget that nearly every church sanctioned the slave trade and the institution of slavery, which resulted in countless deaths not only by negligence but by brutality. And it was done not only in the name of god, but with church approval.
I guess if they ain't christian it just doesn't count, right?
DG,
I'm sorry...WHAT? Were you being sarcastic? I certainly hope you weren't serious. I really don't want to give a lecture that every person should already know.
Crusades, Inquistion, the Turning of Constantinople.
Bite me, Italian.
Well, second part is true (nowadays)(mostly)(officially, don't ask what they're thinking!)(and except the wars)(and... aw, screw it ;-)) - else they'd be up for charges of Incitement to murder...
"Hey, we just posted the addresses of abortion doctors and the times when they're home, how COULD we possibly anticipate somebody would murder them?"..asshats...
Kelaina: Yes, the "Non-Contradiction" Award is one of the sarcastically named awards given out on FSTDT, like "Best Christian Debater" Award for someone who just screams ad hominems, or "Feel That Christian Love" Award for someone who just spews pious caustic condemnation under pretensions of religious grounds.

Medieval Christians killed Jews and witches with the full blessing of the church.
Callistus and Hypatia were both killed by Christian mobs, along with probably thousands of ordinary citizens.
Charlemagne ordered thousands of Saxons killed when they refused to convert.
Askalon. 200,000 heathens killed "in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Maraat An-Numan was captured and thousands killed in 1098. According to Chronicler Albert Aquensis, the Christian conquerors engaged in acts of cannibalism.
Um, isn't there a thing in the bible about God destroying the earth, and presumably killing a bunch of people in the process, with the flood? And he's supposed to be the ultimate Christian, right? I think there was an incident at Sodom and Gomorrah too...
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG, WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!
YOU'RE WRONG!
YOU'RE WRONG!
YOU'RE WRONG!
Yes, I'm copycating Dr Cox.
List of True Christians:

List of False Christians and Non-Christians:
Everyone else.
Number of people killed by True Christians:
Nil, probably, and if Jesus did kill someone, he probably had a valid reason, and he did so with ABSOLUTELY NOOO support from the church. Since it wasn't around. And stuff.
As much as I would rather not go down that path, why am I reminded of that part in Family Guy when they took a tour of Germany, they had been given a tour guidebook, and 1939-1945 was left blank therein?
Floridian, we can't just ignore dark periods in our history. We need to rise above them, learn the right lessons from them, and work to be part of the solution in the future, rather than the problem.
FUCKING HELL, ARGH GET ME OF THIS WEBSITE BEFORE I KILL PEOPLE
scroll up a bit ^^ the one about that bloke being killed by christians...intresting
Peter Kills Two People
There was also a man named Ananias who, with his wife, Sapphira, sold some property. He brought part of the money to the apostles, but he claimed it was the full amount. His wife had agreed to this deception. Then Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren't lying to us but to God." As soon as Ananias heard these words, he fell to the floor and died. Everyone who heard about it was terrified. Then some young men wrapped him in a sheet and took him out and buried him. About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, "Was this the price you and your husband received for your land?" "Yes," she replied, "that was the price." And Peter said, "How could the two of you even think of doing a thing like this conspiring together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Just outside that door are the young men who buried your husband, and they will carry you out, too." Instantly, she fell to the floor and died. When the young men came in and saw that she was dead, they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear gripped the entire church and all others who heard what had happened. (Acts 5:1-11 NLT)
Thanks to www.evilbible.com for that one...
My personal favorite...
In 1307, the French king, Philip IV, wanted released from his debt to the Knights Templar. So he hatched a plan with the Pope, Clement V, to have the order disbanded and the Knights arrested. This happened Friday, October 13. The Knights were tortured until they confessed to various sins.
Some were tortured to death. Others were burned at the stake.
But of course, the Philip and Clement were Catholic, so of course, they weren't True Christians(TM)...
Everyone's shouting "Crusades" and "Inquisition." Let's not forget non-crusaders and non-inquisitioners as well. You know, we call them soldiers. I'm not saying soldiers are inherently evil (goodness, no, I'm a veteran and all that) but, y'know... just saying... wow, just an entire history full of f--king wrong, you f--king moron. Not just the easy stuff. :P
You left a bit off your first sentence. I presume you meant to say something like "There is no record of Christians ever killing anyone in Dead Moose Crossing, Wisconsin (Pop: 167) before lunch last Thursday."
For the rest, there is enough evidence of Christian murder to depress any sensible human being for the next trillion years.
So...the Crusades were done by vigilantes? Oh, no, they had the financial backing of the Kings of Europe, and the edict of the Church, so I guess not.
Confused?
