LOL. I didn't know I'm whiny, don't want to work and am attracted to women. Thanks for opening my eyes!
Seriously though, that's a pretty fucking arrogant statement (as is the question). The only difference between me and someone who's not atheist is I'm willing to say I don't believe in gods.
1) It doesn't make me lazy. In fact to get to this position I had to do some work. Besides that I actually enjoy being useful and am willing to work for next to nothing if I enjoy the job I'm doing.
2) You believe me to be whiny because I'm willing to push back when people push me with regard to beliefs. Oddly enough, I usually try to back myself up with actual facts.
3) And I must be lesbian because why else would I want to be atheist? I just must want to be free of that mean old God so I can do what I want. Presumptive. When I even care about it, I'm perfectly straight. I don't have a problem with people being who they are, mind, that's just a very stupid, bigoted, and untrue statement.
I, and I daresay most atheists, don't have hidden fantasies about doing all manner of wrong things, and I don't reject God because he won't let me do what I want. I 'reject' him because the evidence points to him not being there. But his not being there doesn't mean I'm free to do as I please if it's going to hurt someone else. A lot of us follow a version of the 'golden rule'. Do you?
