The rest of that thread just made me feel fucking ill. What a bunch of evil bastards.
Just know, even tho it may be hard, you both are at fault for the problems in the marriage.
Or how 'bout ya know, THE PERSON WHO WAS BEING ABUSIVE, DIPSHIT?
The emotional tearing apart you're experiencing could very well be guilt. Guilt can be a great way for God to get your attention.
Guilt, for what, shit for brains? Guilt because she left a man who was abusing her, and creating a horrible environment for her and her children?
I would also suggest you seek a counselor (Christian, of course).
Yep, so the "counsellor" can tell her it's all her fault, because she was being an inadequate wife and she needs to realise that women are nothing but slaves to the almighty penis!
Dont listen to the negative comments about getting back together because you are Christians. Plainly if this has been bad for 12 years you have tried in God's eyes and everyone else's. Christians in the age of grace are not bound under the law but of grace and divorce is legitimate in the NT. People who try to force laws on you when they have no idea what you have went through is unexcusable. Pray and follow what you know God is leading you to do and do not listen to the lawgivers.
Alle-fucking-luia, some rationality and sense within the madness that is that thread.
