Dude, COWS have personalities, just like cats and dogs. Some are curious, some are lazy, some are dumber than a pet rock with a concussion.
Still have no problem stringing them up and butchering them for steaks and hamburger. Why would I?

That's actually a very good question. Too bad it's coming from a place of bad-faith that attempts to equate atheism with dietary choice.
I eat hot dogs sometimes. However, the thought of eating poochie makes me want to chunder.

And cheeseburgers! Many Jews have separate kitchens because it's a sin to cook the calf in its mother's milk, so all dairy in one kitchen and all meat in the other kitchen. I don't know what they do with all other kinds of food, though...
Oh, and both cows and birds have personalities. I don't know about fish... We had an aquarium when I was little, but I was too young to understand the philosophy of personalities.
