perversity and immorality
In your opinion. You don't speak for anyone other than yourself. You are not the arbiter of morality for society as a whole.
which "used" to be kept in the closet, away from the "public",
There used to be a time when christian kept their beliefs in the closet and away from the public, like you holy book commands you to do.
is NOW being shoved down our throat and publicized.
There is not a damn thing being "shoved down your throat"! You are not being forced to live with, befriend, talk to homosexuals. You are not forced to watch homosexual sex acts, nor enforced or encouraged to engage in them. Publically recognition of the fact that there are homosexuals and that they are human beings with the same rights as heterosexuals is not "shoving down your throat". You are not guranteed a life sheltered from things you don't like.
Yet, it's funny how a "christian's" rights are never protected.
"Christians" don't have any special rights under the constitution. They have the same rights and protections as "every single US citizen, no more, no less. Under the law everyone, gay or straight, religious or non religious, black or white or yellow or brown, has the same rights. What makes you think that "christians" have a "right" to never be offended, or have to never have to see, hear, or acknowledge the existance of things that they don't agree with?f
Definitely a true show of what a depraved world's priorities are.
Do you realize how arrogant you sound? You are actually claiming that christians are inherently special and deserved to be exalted to the top priority of the world as if you think you have the right to lord over all those that you disapprove of.
And if things like this are offensive to us
You DO NOT have a right to not be offended. Is your faith so delicate and shallow that it can be shattered beyond repair by merely being offended? Are you so arrogant that you take it as a personal insult when you or your religion are not exalted and held up as superior to all others?
imagine how the Lord's views it.
Imagine how the your "lord" views you?
1. You lie and bear false witness against anyone you don't like without a second thought.
2.You carry around this arrogant pride that your religion places you above those peons you dislike and disdain.
3.You wear your religion on your sleeve and demand special treatment because of it.
4.You deify your politics and ascribe your political positions as those of your "god" without so much as a hint of biblical basis for your assertion or belief.
5.You make public pronouncements of selfish prayer as proof that you are more pious, more "christian" than those you consider to not be "True Christians", and you do it in direct opposition to your "holy book", which commands you to pray in private, without spectacle, or audiance, or as a show of disingenuous piety.
And yet there you sit, full of unearned self righteousness, champing at the bit to pass judgement and condemn anyone and everyone who dares to hold a view or opinion that disagrees with your own. You spend so much time ooking for splinters in the eyes of others, that you never notice the entire forest in your own. Yes, I wonder what your "god" would think about you
