Here's the great irony of this; if Babies are NOT innocent, then why is Abortion wrong? Is not the wages of sin death, and thus, is the child simply not getting what his/her sin mandates he/she gets?
Surely, they are selfish and self-centered, like any creature who is unable to live by itself and hasn't fully develop their cognitive skills. And anyway, is abortion then wrong, according to your logic?. If they lack free will, you know, no sin.
Children ARE innocent in that their brains aren't fully developed until around 18 years old. They aren't fully capable of making fully informed "bad" choices. This is why we don't execute them, this is why they can't drink, this is why they cannot consent to sex.
Or maybe they're just human, like the rest of us, and without that selfishness, we would never survive. If a baby doesn't cry when it needs something, it probably won't get it.
Of course they are. They can't help it . Their brains haven't developed enough to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them. And clearly, neither has yours.

Combine these facts together, and you can see that infants cry to let others know when they're in real need! Selfishness doesn't figure into it, unless one is batshit insane enough to think an adult is "selfish" for feeling hunger or needing to stay warm.

This is posted on a board which has a single purpose; to bolster the members' smug assurance that any day now they will be "Raptured," after they can spend eternity laughing at all the doubters who are writhing in hell. This crowd also fiercely (and wrongly) denies that Jesus expects them to give aid to the sick and poor. They defend this attitude with the old "We are saved by faith, not works" line, ignoring several bible passages which emphasize the need for love and charity.
Frankly, they are not in a position to be throwing stones.

And thinking about something is equivalent to actually doing it (bad things only, though!) because there is no nuance before God!
