They are 'Fair and Balanced', because the segments are written by God himself! ALL NEWS is fuckin' biased to some degree. Don't fuckin' tell me that Bill "Dildo" O'Reilly isn't biased cos he is. Don't tell me that Sean Hannity isn't biased cos that motherfucker definitely is. Don't tell me that Rupert Murdoch is some fuckin' moderate, miracle-man who created Faux News because he felt that the corporate media (CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Bloomberg, BBC America, etc.) was overly balanced to the left and wanted to create a corporate news channel that catered to the neo-conservatives, which will tip the scales to make the needle point to the middle. Oh wait, you far-right morality gestapo don't like nothing in the middle. Claims either have to be to the far-right or they're far-wrong. Media is biased. Period.

Listening to BBC Radio 5 last night/early morning (especially Dr. Karl's science Q&A phone in), on the news it was reported that the government (a Conservative [+ Liberal Democrat alliance one]) had considered cuts to funding additional services to the BBC's World Service - specifically the myriad foreign language sections - but had reversed that policy, thus funding will be continued.

Amongst saif foreign language sections of the World Service is the Arab language department, transmitting in the Middle East, reporting on behalf of people there (so they get all the news relevant to them), as well as correspondents (Arabic/English bilingual) reporting on events in said countries - including (via satellite phone) Libya and Syria.

In protests in Syria, there have been people holding placards saying 'Thank you BBC'.

I don't see no similar coverage/reporting done by Faux News, Mr(Wo)Mannn. Hell, they don't even know the geography of the area:

One more thing: on Ruptured Retards, in a list of news sources that are not to be trusted, they include "The Sun", the British tabloid newspaper. And considering how biased towards the right it is (and how it's generally an insult to the intelligence of anyone who claims to possess intelligence. *Does Jasper Carrott 'Sun Reader' hand gesture: 'Dickhead'#), I can understand that. What I can't understand, however, is the one glaring contradiction on RR's part: "The Sun" is owned by Rupert Murdoch, part of his News International media corporation. Faux News is owned by Rupert Murdoch; again, part of his News International media corporation.
