There's nothing well-established about evolution. It falls apart more every day while creation science improves.

God's Word hasn't changed and neither will my position. You can't call yourself a follower of Christ and salad-bar your way through everything he says, picking out the parts you like and changing the parts you don't. If you don't believe the first few words of the Bible then put it away. You're not ready for the rest of it and you're certainly not ready to sell out to God and fight in his army.

That seems to be the problem. With believing into the literal truth of the bible fundamentalists like yourself are stuck with feverishly trying to explain inconsistencies between te bible and reality away or to ignore them (like for example the four legged insects of the bible).
They are like medieval astronomers who had to try to fit their observations into the geocentric model they believed in.

You can't call yourself a follower of Christ and salad-bar your way through everything he says, picking out the parts you like and changing the parts you don't.

But that is what most fundamentalist evangelists do. They take the parts that support their own moral views (like for example the parts that are against homosexual relationships) and dismiss those parts they don´t like (such as the commandment to wear only clothes that were woven out of a sinlge kind of thread or the prohibition of eating shellfish) or which don´t fit into nowadays laws (like everything concerning slavery, or the mass of laws that state that you should stone another person if he/she did this and that)

Sure "creation ~~science~~ lies" improves every day...if you think that screaming GODDIDIT!!! at every question that presents itself is an improvement.

Right. Stone the gays, kill those fucks who work Sundays, kill rape victims, kill the kids who talk back to their parents, shoot anyone wearing blended fabrics and eating shellfish...but that whole bit about giving all your stuff and all your money to the poor was just a metaphor.

I´m absolutely sure that it is the creationist propagandists themselves (who travel through the country and hold lectures about creationism) who don´t grow tired of telling their followers about the alleged successes that creationism has within the states (or aybe even all over the world).
I have no doubt that they also mention that the evil "evolutionists" cower in fear of creationism, and have to invent evidence after evidence for evolution, because the creationists debunk one "evolutionist lie" after the other.

And if they only repeat this often enough, people even might tend to believe it (just take the historic example of Cato, who just had to repeat often enough that Carthago has to be destroyed, to persuade the roman senate to invade (and raze) Cartago [despite Carthago posing no real danger for rome at this time])
