A woman cannot becoem a priest in a similar manner that a man cannot become pregnant. A woman attempting to become a priest would be an attempt at a homosexual marriage.
Priests are married to the Bride of Christ...not the groom of Christ.
A priest stands in Persona Christi. Similarly it would be like a woman playing the role of Clark Kent in the Superman (woman) movie.

Hate to brake it to you, but man did get pregnant and gave birth to a healthy child... He was a woman before sex change, but kept his ovarries and uterus, which was a good thing, since his wife (yeah, he got married) couldn't stay pregnant for some reason, no matter how many in vitro's they tried. So... FAIL.
Christ had a bride and Priests are married to her? I thought that was against the law.
And your worried about homosexual marriage, maybe Jesus and the priests need to work out their own sex issues before you rag on someone else for wanting to get married.
Confusing biology(sex and pregnancy)with sociology(a marriage. By the way, the nuns are married to Jesus and the monks to whom?, homosexual marriage anybody?. Now, seriously, priests are not married to the church, because the groom is)with religion(a religious position=priest)
Q. How do you get a nun pregnant?
A. Disguise her as an altar boy.
I thought teh buttsecks was a recruiting tool for the priesthood, as prevalent as it seems.
"Priests are married to the Bride of Christ..."
Considering the sheer number of priests out there this Christ fellow must be one seriously open-minded chap, and to his mrs. all I can say is, "bravo maddam, bravo, you truely tore the term "commitment" a whole new one right there".
"Priests are married to the Bride of Christ...not the groom of Christ. "
So, what you're saying is...Jesus Christ was male...so priests are married to Christ...soooo...priests are gay?! I'm glad you're finally being truthful! Yaaaay!
Uh... I'm pretty sure that CHRIST is married to "the bride of Christ".
But I like your logic better, since it points to male priests being teh ghey. Tee hee hee.
The enforced celibacy of priests, the refusal to allow women to join the priesthood, and the continuing ban on birth control will eventually lead to the extinction of the Catholic church.
Good bye and good riddance.
So a preist can only be male because Jesus is dressed in a bride outfit and he doesnt like women.
Sure, nothing wrong with that at all...*head desk*
"A woman attempting to become a priest would be an attempt at a homosexual marriage."
I get what his comment's about, but I can't get around the sheer stupidity of that sentence. They aren't even remotely comparable.
/Similarly it would be like a woman playing the role of Clark Kent in the Superman (woman) movie./
Female roles were played by men for thousands of years. No women were allowed to become actors in Ancient Greece, where drama first flourished. Nor were they allowed on stage in Elizabethan England. All parts were taken by men. Your point is moot.
"A woman cannot becoem a priest in a similar manner that a man cannot become pregnant. A woman attempting to become a priest would be an attempt at a homosexual marriage."
HAHAHAHAHA! Really.
Again something that is *so* contradicted by reality that it hurts.
So, women cannot become priests because they would become pregnant from the altar boys, huh?
Persona Christi? What do you need to fuse for that one?
(There better be someone who gets this joke, lest I be sad.)
Lol Persona joke.
Nuns are supposed to be 'brides of Christ.' I never heard a similar natter about monks, let alone priests. Are you saying the Church is a woman and therefore can't become too close to women or it'd be dirty?
After the bit about pregnancy, I thought you were going to say it was because they were missing an important organ...

"A woman attempting to become a priest would be an attempt at a homosexual marriage."
The current Archbishop of Canterbury, the Very Reverend Marcus Welby, being installed into that position by Archdeacon Sheila Watson:

It's as if King Henry VIII and Oliver Cromwell were subconsciously progressive - certainly forward thinking enough - in the creation of the Church of England: Protestant .

Say hello to Rule 63. As if that concept wasn't bad enough for you, Rule 34 will make your brain bleed through your eyes. >:D
