Is it possible for an Athiest to be a moral person?
Somehow I think not.
Someone once said those who believe in nothing now, will believe everything later and how sad it must be to know that every breathe you take is a Sin according to God.
Your very being disgust me to the point of sickness, you must glee with happiness to live your life in abomination.
How Sad.

English, motherfucker, learn it.
As to what you think (sic), who really gives a hairy rat's ass?
I am an atheist, which means I don't believe in god.
I do believe in love.
I believe that individual people are inherently good.
I believe that groups of people, led by persons with an agenda, can be incredibly bad.
I believe that you are hopelessly fucktarded.
Have a nice day.
What a lovely turn of phrase... to "glee with happiness" :D
And I do indeed glee with happiness on occasion, completely careless of your idiotic sickness.
Well, if you're using the Psychotic Fundie Bastard(TM) definition of "moral", then no, it's not possible. I prefer to get the meaning of my words from the American Heritage Dictionary.
Speaking of dictionaries, when did "glee" become a verb?
Is it possible for a fundie to be an intelligent person?
After reading their posts, somehow I think not.
No, because to be a 'moral person' it is apparently necessary to believe that little girls getting buried alive is a good thing.

Us nasty abominable atheists would probably decide that this sort of thing was somehow 'bad' and ought to be stopped, clearly showing that we have no respect for God's divine plan.
Sorry you find condemming murder and rape immoral! I'm wiccan, not atheist, but I guess I make you sick too - maybe you don't have to puke dealing with me!
*keeps peptobismo ready just in case*
On the word "glee":
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the verb "to glee" is an archaic synonym of "to squint or wink"
I'm almost positive that's not what Pierce meant, though. :P
Funny, I was taught in a psych class that the highest form of human morality is the kind where it is self-generated and self-realized. That you would still "do the right thing" even when you know you would get away with it because you have logical and emotional reasons for maintaining this morality.
Morality as we see as standard is a logical set of rules we use for human interaction. It is better for the community if we don't kill each other, or hurt one another, or steal. It's best for us all to work together and be happier. We survive better, and as social creatures doing all of these things makes people like us (which is yet another added benefit, and probably the main reason we're nice to others).
A sky daddy punishing me? Eh, deterrence is for the weak-minded and selfish. A lesser form of morality because you don't understand WHY it is wrong, just that you're going to be punished. The minute you have an out, why still behave?
My morality, even while a Catholic, had nothing to do with my religion. I just knew that things were bad because they hurt and disrespected people, and I didn't want to do that to others because I've never been a scumbag. I also wanted to have a good relationship with them so they wouldn't hurt me either. YMMV.
Yes, of course it's possible; only sociopaths need someone looking over their shoulder in order to do the right thing. Most other people have a conscience and empathy that stops them from doing things that will harm others.
I believe in lots of things; I just refrain from believing in fairy tales and imaginary friends.
My very being disgust you? Oh, well, your funeral; if you want to feel disgusted by my existence, be my guest.
I don't live my life in abomination.
You're sad; what does it matter to you what I believe in? It doesn't affect you in any way.
Atheists do not "believe in nothing"
Atheists don't believe in your God OR ANY other.
All Atheisets believe in many things, mostly things that exist but even when they don't: NO GOD OR GODS
Confused?
