That'd explain why Leia kisses Luke (there needs to be an element of incest in a Bible-inspired movie), Alderaan is destroyed (needs to be a genocide or two as they're all over the Old Testament), Luke's relatives are killed for merely being associated with alleged criminals (Biblical "justice"), and the whole galaxy is a dictatorship where no one eats shellfish. Actually, if Jewpiter really wants a proper biblical analogy here, I'd say that Darth Vader (or, at least, Anakin Skywalker) has much more of a resemblance to Lucifer in "Paradise Lost." Both rebelled, out of a mixture of pride and good intentions, against a benevolent, omnipotent entity (God/the Jedi) and both, quite literally, crashed and burned and became the opposite of what they were trying to achieve, became the ultimate antagonists (Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader and Lucifer became Satan).
