You're right. public schools are trying to rewrite history. History has always been a favorite subject of mine, but it wasn't until I started Bible college that I learned more about the true American history, and you better believe the finger prints of God were all over it.

If you knew anything about history, you'd know there's no definitive "truth" to it. History is reliant on context and interpretation. By pigeonholing your learning, you're only adding to your delusions. And that's really fucking sad.
Ah yes, public schools - completely neutral institutions built for the sole purpose of teaching children facts. Obviously they have an agenda, not at all like those wonderful Bible colleges that focus on religion and teaching students to become missionaries & priests.
After all, who needs science and history when you can make it all up as you go?
[The writing style makes me thing IFBaptistGirl is another Randy puppet.]
If you assume the presence of a magician with unlimited powers is constantly sticking his fingers into every little thing, as fundies do, then of course you'll constantly "see" his fingerprints all over everything. Fundies only pay lip service to the concept of free will. Or rather, they never think very hard about it, having learned their religious beliefs in kindergarten and never explored them any further.
With fundies, God always seems to do what they want done. Won the lottery? God picked the number for you to reward your faith. Got hit by a bus? God pushed you to test your faith. It's a self-fulfilling world view.
Oh, Bible College. Those two words do not belong together. You learned more history at a bible college than at real school? If 'true American history' means 'crazy fundamentalist propaganda' then yes, you did.
Maybe the whole site is just puppets of Bro Randy? I sure would sleep a whole lot better.

The key with studying history is to study as many different sources as possible. You take each historian with a grain of salt, compare their analysis with other analyses, and find the most accurate interpretation of history to be somewhere in the middle of all the perspectives.
However, the idea of learning everything I know about history from a bible college makes me shudder. If there's one place with an agenda, that's it.
McCulloch: Isn't the MRS degree an accelerated education program, involving firearms, for the really intelligent girls who helped fellow classmates with their Diploma in Administration Design (DAD) Degree?
Havn't you ever seen a photo of 'Crossing the Delaware'? That guy in the front of the boat- that's God. And the reason the Confederates couldn't take Little Round Top, or just smash their way through in Picket's Charge- God was on a holiday to the Crimea, and kicking some serious Russian arse. The guy who raised the flag over Iwo Jima- Black Jesus and his hoes (racist I know but God is a prejudicial little arse-wipe...) The flag over Berlin? He was taking the photo, and didn't make it in time for the flash. The guy who shot Kennedy- although it looked like an Italian 6.8*52 mm Carcano rifle fired by Lee Harvey Oswald it was actually the hand of God preventing such an evil, baneful influence as peace and justice for all, including the communists.
Martin Luther King? God took the credit, arrogant bastard, but it was actually the FBI, for once.
God. One of America's great heroes. DIRECTLY involved in every Americans life from the beginning of their nation. But he needs praise. Send $30 to "God's booze-up slush fund", or he'll get angry.
"True American history", huh? Or just the history you want to hear, regardless of whether or not it's true?
Suspiciooooooouuuss! [/Bloo-style sarcasm]
Fingerprints of God? So, what, you pulled them off the pages and matched them against the FBI's central database? They finally caught that bastard and got him on the billions of murder charges? Hope they remember to get the conspiracy and organized crime charges too.
Hell, I bet they got him for tax evasion, just like Capone.
If history is a "favorite subject of yours"(?) and you are spouting this kind of ignorance and false information, I would hate to see how little you know about subjects you don't like! You go to BIBLE COLLEGE to learn about the Bible. You go to a REAL COLLEGE to learn about American history, you nitwit. WTF? "God's fingerprints"? Shit child, don't you even know "cleanliness is next to Godliness"?
Well, if you ignorant atheiests would actually start looking at history with an open mind, you'd see the fingerprints too, But all you do is sit at home sinning, at least I'm not at some public college learning all sorts of humanistic propoganda and learning that sin is ok like ya'll did.
Uh, yeah ... because valid, fact-based history sure is "humanistic propaganda" O_O
And you've got the gall to call someone else ignorant? Wow.
IFBaptistGirl, you obviously wouldn't know *real* propaganda if it jumped up and bit you on the behind... since Bro. Randy's been dumping propaganda on you like cow dung and you still haven't noticed! What do you suppose all the nonsense that Bro. Randy feeds you is? (Here's a hint: it is not "truth"!)
By the way, we'll be happy to keep our "public colleges", since your lovely bible schools seem to be so poor at teaching proper spelling :)
IFBaptistGirl:
As incomprehensible as an idea as this is to you, Bible college is nowhere near an objective marketplace of viewpoints. I'm afraid what your professors there did was play to your prejudices as a Christian and tell you what you wanted to hear, just as is done by top-selling political authors in every bookstore in the nation.
And in any case, what good is a college where everything is done by rote and the closest thing you get to open inquiry is something resembling Lee Strobel's pseudo-Socratic garbage? Because that's all Bible college does is inculcate one specific view of the world into its students. Secular colleges may not be as objective as they claim to be, but despite what the Religious Right's propaganda is trying to tell you, many viewpoints are welcome in most secular colleges. (Hell, I went to a Catholic college, and you could pretty much get whatever you wanted out of it.)
But then, either you literally can't understand that, or you're part of the propaganda machine and already know that but don't want the rest of the clique to know that.
Not content with posting ignorant gibberish on Teens4Christ, IFBaptistGirl comes to FSTDT and posts more gibberish here .
She must be one serious masochist.
Plus, if she's deluded enough to lap up the garbage on that site from Brother Randy the rape apologist, then she'll probably be deluded enough to think (with the typical hubris of fundies everywhere) that she's coming here to give us an education .
Guess she'll find out the hard way when her Bible college finally lets her out into the real world with barely enough practical knowledge to do anything other than flip burgers.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
