"You're expecting the fossils to do something?"
Well if the fossils don't 'do something' how can I observe the 'fact' of evolution?

*facepalm*
I am speechless.
This guy is a classic troll - not interested in convincing anyone, discussing anything, or learning anything, just wants to make a ruckus and draw attention to himself. Feels powerful when it works. With Pharyngulites' weakness for troll-feeding and notorious combativeness, he came to the right place.
But the fossils are doing something. Something very important.
They're existing, you see. If you look really close, you'll observe how they are real . Amazing, isn't it?
And if god and/or Jesus don't do something, like show up, -- ever --, then how are we supposed to observe their existence?

You have said it all

Oh my. Um, where to begin?
1) Fossils are dead. See, in order to be a fossil, one first has to die. As such, they cannot do anything. Except in horror films.
2) You observe the fact of evolution by taking the long term view. You look at the similarities between fossils, and what that tells you. You look at the similarities in DNA and what that tells you. You look at the fact that certain animals have shown changes now , and thus, are evolving.
Confused?
