“I KNOW you will disagree, but I have seen Patriot's policies,”
I don’t disagree with this.
But have you seen their campus? Seen their classes?
Seen any tests?
Who else claims to be a Patriot graduate? When my kids were younger, every college we visited listed at least three proud graduates of the facility.
"I have SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES Dr. Hovind's PhD diploma,”
Not doubting you in the least. Give me five minutes and i can show you Bugs Bunny’s diploma from Harvard.
But the question is whether it’s worth a shit.
"I have talked with Dr. Hovind personally,”
Again, don’t disagree in the slightest. He talks to anyone that’ll listen. Con men are seldom antisocial.
"and I have even read the 'crap' that says Patriot University is a 'degree mill.'”
And how did you determine that this is ‘crap,’ then? Did you find that they’re actually acredited? Or even WERE acredited at some time in the past?
"Whether it is a degree mill or not, (you'd have to be more specific) is not your business...”
And there i have to disagree.
If someone calls themselves a high school gradjit, there are some things we can expect them to know. Sign their name, basic math, read at a 6th grade level, stuff like that.
If they claim a bachelors, we similarly expect certain knowledges to have been gained.
And so on. If someone introduces themselves as a PhD, in any given field, there’s an expectation of competence. Hovind lacks that.
SOmeone told him the world is slowing down. The days are getting longer. He assumed that Adam and Eve started with a much shorter day. Estimated it to be several hours different.
I found the current rate of deceleration. If that’s the steady rate going back 6000 years, the day was shorter by a teensy bit over one second.
