I was at my youngest son's t-ball game this evening, (Homeschoolers for Christ Athletics), and even though every one around me is a "Christian" they seem to be going forward as if NOTHING is going on.
I could hear people talking about the vacations they are planning or have already taken. I heard people talking about buying new cars or a new bigger house. I kept thinking, "Are these people for real?" I'm starting to think it's a Christian group of WOF'ers. Are they oblivious to what is going on around them? I would have thought they would be talking about Jesus coming soon, preparing for the hard times we could be facing, or down-sizing.
It's amazing.

I know i'm trying to watch the game and they're talking about whatever. I don't care about the guy next to me buying a new house I want to know what's happening in the game.
I have to admit, I thought the fine folks here at FSTDT were exaggerating for comic effect when they talked about how anxious for the end of the Earth the weirdos at Rapture Ready are. This submission has turned me around on that.

And..erm...if it's really the end times, I can see why you don't think there's a point in discussing moving house or going on holiday but why shouldn't people be allowed to talk about vacations they have already taken?

They are acting as most christians should, normally. Religion can be part of your life, but you should realise that there are other things to it and, dare i say it, more important things.

Well, there are people who realize at the end of their lives that they completely forgot to live. Because they were totally obsessed with religion, "sacred texts" and the "afterlife", and totally forgot what really matters in life.
