What proof is there of Atheism?
Aside from professing it?
Can you prove that you are an Atheist?

Can you prove that you're a christian? Aside from professing it?
Claiming to be a christian proves that atheism is true, because theism would have no reason to exist if atheism wasn't true.
Now do you understand how stupid you sound to a normal person?
Why does atheism need proof? I just don't believe in any gods, I don't have to prove they don't exist. Lack of any factual evidence is good enough reason to not believe.
And frankly, I don't care if anyone believes I'm an atheist or not. I'm not like Christians who think they have to go out of their way to prove it, like wearing crosses and having Jesus fish symbols on the back of their cars.
Well, I don't believe in gods. What else do I need to prove it? A banner?
Just because someone believes or does not believe in something does not make it true, or else atheism, Christianity, and a number of religions would not be able to exist together.
I do not believe in (a) god(des)(se)(s) or any higher power that exists outside this universe, I do not have set rituals of worship, nor ideals set in stone and that are shared by other people who think exactly alike, nor do I follow the lead of one who speaks on matters of such things.
In short, I lack everything that is typical of people who are religious/believers. So, yes, that makes me an atheist. Not satisfied? Then try to prove I'm a theist or similar. Lack of such proof would indicate me being an atheist.
I take the "logic" here is that atheists don't believe in God because there is no proof God exists.
Kathy is saying that there is technically no proof that atheists exist either, so there is no reason to believe in them.
Yes. I'm an atheist. Here's why:
1. Every objectively recorded person, place, object, and event has a natural explanation.
2. No supernatural person, place, object, or event has ever been objectively recorded.
Ummmm... well, I don't believe in your juju in the sky.. and I don't believe in the muslim's juju in the sky... and I don't believe in any of the hindu jujus in the sky.. and
DO I really have to list ALL the jujus I DON'T believe in? Or is it safe to say that if I just say, "I do not believe in ANY jujus"... we can safely assume that that fits the definition of atheism?
@David B.
Call the church police!
I don't believe in god. Therefore, I am an atheist.
Burden of proof rests on the shoulders of the positive claimant... meaning you.
Did anyone read the best answer as chosen by asker? It's even more absurd than the question. I know Yahoo likes to take these down after a while, so here it is, in all it's glory, with a rating of +3/-45
"No, they can't. It's the same as me running around saying "I'm a raisin." Absurd. If anyone asks me to prove I'm not a raisin, I just say 'you can't prove a negative.' Then I've expanded the absurdity."
There may very well be an invisible God somewhere in the skies. And He may very well be the nasty piece of work that fundamental cultists believe Him to be.
However, I don't believe the stories about Him, or any tales about other gods either. In any case, I'm a Global Warmingist, apparently, so my God is, er, um, hot?.
“What proof is there of Atheism?”
Is there proof you’re not a Muslim? Shinto? Way-point Satanic Travel Monk?
“Aside from professing it?”
Why would you question it if i did?
“Can you prove that you are an Atheist?”
I have established to my satisfaction that I am an atheist. That’s all I really need to do.
Confused?
