[Fundies are reacting to the news that the Boy Scouts will be open to gay youth on Jan 1st.]
Several times a year outside my local Walmart they sell their popcorn and other outrageously expensive foodstuffs I could buy much cheaper inside Walmart and I always bought something to support them because they weren't caving to the sodomite agenda. Not anymore! I felt no guilt whatsoever in saying "no thanks" to them the last time they were outside WM and asked if I'd like to support the BSA.[shaking head smiley]Obviously the BSA hasn't taken a hit in the wallet otherwise this nonsense might have turned out differently. However, I will not be supporting them as long as they allow sodomites to be a part of their organization.

So what you're saying is, you never cared for anything the Boy Scouts represented as an organization, any of the work that they do or the services they provide. You only ever cared inasmuch as they were a stick you could hit gay people with, by proxy.
Somehow I think they'll live without your "support".
Yes, because buying Boy Scout's popcorn or Girl Scout cookies or VFW or American Legion poppies is a matter of who has the best deal?
Wow, dumb as a bag of glass hammers.
So TimeWarpWife wants to boycott the BSA because they're signing up gay kids. Perfectly within his/her/it's rights, but she has to be aware that the loss of a few goofballs like her will be probably be balanced out by all the new gay customers. In fact, a few lesbians of my acquaintance buy tons of Girl Scout cookies to break a Christian boycott.
TimeWarpWife is dumb, dumber, dumbest...
So basically, you didn't support the Boy Scouts because they were thee Boy Scouts, you supported them only because you though they hated the same people you do. Well, you're going to have a LOT of businesses to boycott in the coming years. If public opinion keeps changing the way it has even your precious Walmart is going to be flying the rainbow flag in support. Then you'll have to eat at Chick-fil-A every day and buy all of your building materials at Hobby Lobby.
I always bought something to support them
Right, and isn't that the whole reason they're selling the stuff? If they sold it as inexpensive as the cheap crap you can buy in Walmart, wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of raising money? Not too smart, are we?
Obviously the BSA hasn't taken a hit in the wallet
Yeah, and guess why: because fat head bigots like you are a minority.
"outside WM and asked if I'd like to support the BSA"
Yes, along with Nortons, Sunbeams, Rileys, Ariels etc, British motorbikes are favoured by even hardcore Hog riders in the US. Triumph Bonneville 750s are like gold - especially with Hell's Angels - in the US. [/hyper-smartarse]
...and the moral of this story is: if the most Americentric of two-wheel enthusiasts have no problem with foreign -made machines (their in tolerance towards what they refer to as 'Ricers' is well-known), then what's your fucking problem with your country's Scouts' tolerance of gay people?
So basically you bought from them because of your own prejudices. I doubt they'll miss your money when others will be buying from them. I wonder what you'll do or shop at when places of business start, as you put it, giving into the sodomite agenda. Which, if it did exist, would be to have equal rights but you can't have that.
However, I will not be supporting them as long as they allow sodomites to be a part of their organization.
Know what you could do? When you see them selling their stuff in front of your favorite store, Walmart, go over to them, vomit on your own shoes and then poke your eyes out.
I'm sure they'll be impressed, understand, and convert to your way of thinking.
Don't worry, Liberals will take your place as ATMs.
Although, they probably should move to a different supermarket.
You ONLY supported them because they had not caved in to the "sodomite agenda"? Not because of something they DO?
Don't worry, as bigots stop supporting them, pro-human-rights people will start supporting them.
Confused?
