I find it difficult to give a charitable interpretation of this, if "real" is to have any meaning. Perhaps one could argue that protein synthesis isn't real insofar it is a process, and so doesn't exist, that it's an explanatory model. But the process really does happen, and I'm guessing that wScott doesn't mean anything like this at all. Regarding DNA and RNA, I don't see a way to interpret this kindly.

I'm fairly sure they are real. I've seen them. And I don't mean that I've just seen pictures of them, I've actually seen them under a microscope. I've actually seen time lapse photography of a cell dividing. What evidence do you have that those things aren't real?
