Actually, this is one of the most human (and fairly understandable) admissions I've ever seen from one of these folks. I can relate to Heartstorm feeling this way; anyone can who has ever been made fun of for a cherished belief or association of some kind -- or just been made fun of, period.
Of course, the problem here is that Heartstorm's belief in the whole underlying premise actually deserves ridicule, being utterly ridiculous. Heartstorm's hope of eventual validation is doomed to never being fulfilled, either by getting to say "told you so" or by being too caught up in the experience to care. The Rapture just isn't going to happen.

Aw, it's okay....
I'll be able to have that moment when you're on your deathbed and the Rapture still isn't gonna happen.
I'm too nice to do that though.
Dear Heartstorm,
I'm sorry, but having had that thought means you are eternally blemished by sin and will be ineligable for the Rapture Express.
God/Jesus thanks you for your interest in Post-Rapture Life Inc. and hope you are able to find a suitable existence without Heaven.
Yours, God/Jesus.
And there you go proving her point. You are cult, specifically, a Religious Death Cult that was based on ficticious writing. You are so overjoyed at the prospect of dying that you make everyone else around you who isn't a part of your cult miserable. The only difference between you and the Heavens Gate cult is they acted on their death cult beliefs. You are the biggest group of passive suicidals I have ever read about.
There are a bunch of comments in that thread worthy of fstdt. My personal favorite comes from Lynne:
"imho, the reason that the rapture idea receives so much criticism/mockery is because . . .it's true.
Aside from the fact that it is taught in Scripture, outright mockery and rudeness toward those who are expecting it to happen are also pretty reliable indicators that it's true."
Funny...I hope that the Rapture actually does happen, and you do not get Raptured. I then hope that Jesus comes down to personally inform you that you were not beamed up into Jesusland due entirely to that sadistic wish of yours. Unfortunately, karmic justice is rarely so cut and dried, but, you can always dream, right?
When the rapture happens and you're stuck here with us heathens because of your selfish, arrogant, insulting, un christian attitude, I will be the one saying "nanner nanner boo boo, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks onto you."
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
