If gay people can, straight people can.
Why would straight blood not get HIV? Why would the HIV in straight blood not transmit to innocents? (Oh, right, because straight people who have sex outside marriage are sinners, so they deserve to get AIDS and die)
And you would be okay if your straight friend groomed your daughter? Or your relative touched her inappropriately (much more likely, BTW)?
They're both criminals, true, and I see no reason to assume guilt for one group and innocence for the other.
And why on earth would gay people round up other people? Where are the philosophies that deem straight people inhuman and demons and killers of Christ? You've decided gay people are evil, ipso facto. Why?
Antisemites in power caused Nazism and the Holocaust. The heterosexual Hitler and the primarily heterosexual Nazi party were monsters not because they screwed women, but because they genuinely believed Jews and other undesirables (including, interestingly, gay people and dissidents) were not worthy of being called human.
But Nazism didn't come out of a vacuum - Hitler's views were quite popular even in certain American circles (some Ford had written about how Hitler had the right idea about Jews) and the horror about the Holocaust was not only because of the brutality itself, but also the realisation that it was the apotheosis of ideas that so many people agreed to and so many people, even Americans, bought into.
You're telling me that heterosexuality is a taboo in society to that extent? That straight people have to, anywhere in the world, deal with rejection from their gay colleagues?
Isn't it a bit more inverted?
And yes, I know you're a Jew. That is why I'd hoped you'd have more sympathy for those who were imprisoned alongside your kin.
