This is the only description given of Jesus in the entire bible. To me, brass seems pretty fucking dark.
Jesus was of Hebrew (WHICH IS MIDDLE EASTERN) descent, from Mary, an Israelite Jewish woman - and probably thus from King David, though the genealogies are unclear (an understatement). He would have been dark-haired and moderately dark-skinned like anyone else in that sunny region.
(Joseph - also of the Davidic line - was his adoptive or step-father, according to the Bible, but in any case his father in a legal sense - although the whole issue of what the Davidic descent means is a mess both historically and religiously.)
