[Fundies have been discussing who the last "Gentile to be saved" is. Another fundie has suggested that they might be the last person you would think to convert.]
Kim Jong Un? Wouldn't that be awesome? God can do it, too. He longs to save him. Mr. Kim only needs to have belief in his heart, and the Lord Jesus would snatch him up immediately. What an amazing thing it would be if that happened.

Despite being RR, this is not really much of a fundi quote.
And it would be awesome if Kim Jong Un repented and guided North Korea into a free country. However I'm not seeing it happening any time soon.
Actually, I'd prefer it if some starving orphan or an African woman whose children have died of AIDS, and who has thus lost faith in the existence of God, were spared eternal damnation in Hell, and not some spoiled playboy who wallows in luxury while his people starve and has anyone who criticizes his regime executed.
I bet Kim Jong Un has got a god-shaped hole in his heart that looks like the outline of a particularly charmless old scrote with a straggly beard. Cor! Fancy that! It's enough to start the creative juices oozing and the fan/fap fic flowing. Even my tail's waging in sympathy at the sheer delicious droolishness of it all.
Or:-
When fundies enjoy a good chin wag, internet style!
Unfortunately, because of Bible God's helplessness in the face of North Korea's very own brand of drooling nonsense, it remains firmly in the realm of childens' fiction.
Thus, if Kim Jong Un would begin to believe in God, he would be in Heaven with Jesus while the folks who manned the Red Crescent would burn in Hell.
You seem to want to help Elizabeth Prata to make Christianity look less attractive.
@Zed: Actually that is pretty much what's happening. Kim Jong-un grew up in the West, and was reported to have said things that very much go into that direction. The problem is that he has to be very careful, given that the position as Supreme Leader has a lot less power that one might think based on reporting, if he goes to fast half of the military which follows very orthodox Juche would putsch against him at which point the orthodox would take over and all hope of peaceful change is lost.
This is probably also the reason why he had his uncle executed, to give the orthodox a sign that he means serious business - even with family. And when he's again saying that "North Korea will not be insulted by the Imperialist United States" or something like that what is actually happening is him making the strong man so that the orthodox don't see him as weak or endangering their wealth.
He is still a dictator, but given his history and what has happend since he took office, that seems to be the direction he's moving in. And when the orthodox died out in the higher ranks, he'll be able to push harder and faster.
And all those labor camps the size of a major city where people are daily shot and starved can just be forgotten...
@UHM
The currency "reform" in 2010 is almost universally attributed to Kim Jong-Un. It resulted in penury for the general populace and the return of starvation for many. Kim Jong-Un was chosen over his older half-brother because he was ruthless enough to do what was needed to protect the regime, whatever the cost. Democratizing the regime would risk the end of the regime and, more importantly, that of the Kim dynasty. Bashar Al-Assad was also educated in the West, has a Western-educated wife and was heavily touted as a reformer and democratizer after the death of his father, Hafez Al-Assad. It didn't happen in Syria, and there is little reason to suppose it will happen in North Korea.
"Kim Jong Un? Wouldn't that be awesome? God can do it, too."
But God is waiting for the Kim crowd to murder and/or starve more people before he allows Un to be converted.
@Prager
But when will he be made to pay for the crimes he's committed against his own people?
He wouldn't need to. Maybe if he became Catholic or mainline Protestant but the kind of Christianity RR practices? No way. He would only need to tell Jesus to forgive him and that's that. No need to pay for anything at that point.
Mr. Kim only needs to have belief in his heart, and the Lord Jesus would snatch him up immediately.
Translation: You can be the most evil bastard in history, but if you simply accept Jesus just before you die, you suffer no punishment at all!
Congratulations.... you've just shown that Christians can do what the fuck they like without fear of any punishment... when are you going to go on a murder, theft and rape spree like you fucking lot keep saying you would?
I'm with aebars. Someone who needs faith? Someone who has dealt with adversity and hardship having their faith faltering or destroyed? No, I wanna be in the newspapers as the guy who converted Kim Kong Un. This isn't about saving someone it's about being the big man who wants songs sung in his praises.
Kim Jong-un's gramps was a Presbyterian, by the dubz.
Then again, who DOESN'T hate North (Fake) Korea?
Know what? Look at the facts. Wouldn't change a thing, certainly not for the better.
The only thing close to a vicious torture-state dictatorship in history is a Theocracy. There's nothing that divides you.
Kim Jong-Un presents himself as a God, demands rituals only practiced religiously for a God AND claims unproven miracle accomplishments as religions do.
Wanna try again?
Kim Jong-Un IS A GOD. Go over there and deny it. I won't, free ticket, nice room and Rodmans posse at my back I would never deny Kim Jong-Un is a God in NK. But in Ontario, he's a full on waste of skin.
A little out there, particularly since it's a response to a "last gentile to be saved" thread, but I'm not really willing to say that it's crazy. I mean, I'm not a fundamentalist Christian by any stretch, but if it meant that Kim Jong Un would stop killing his own people and maybe even allow them to have democratic elections, I would be all for his converting.
Confused?
