Practically, TE doesn't do the average Joe any good, on the contrary, many bad effects.
TE doesn't help make a society any more moral when "survival of the fittest" is motto. It turns many men into animals, possibly worse than animals.
Animals don't kill their own kind most of the times. Men do.
Animals don't keep their own kind as slaves. Men do. And pimps.
Popular religions have little effects on their followers, maybe because of superficial knowledge of "holy book" of their followers.
If Muslim read their book critically they would stop being Muslim.
If "Christians" read the bible deeply, they'd find its truths.

1. Evolution != Social Darwinism.
2. They don't kill them per se, but they leave them to die if they're sick or injured.
3. Uh, might this be a double standard of some sort? At any rate, both the Qu'ran and the Bible have some good things in them, once you get past the supernatural bullshit.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. But you know how they say that the Bible is the best case for atheism? So, yeah.
The Qur'an is way more coherent than the Bible, you know. The Qur'an was written by one person (as were the Book of Mormon and Science and Health). The Bible is a sloppily-edited anthology. If a Muslim should come to find the Qur'an outrageous, a Christian should equally find the Bible to be flat-out incomprehensible in places.
"Survival of the fittest" is...
1) not a motto.
2) incomplete, because females have sometimes selected males with traits that are not that "strong" such as birds with extremely long tails (think peacocks).
If "Christians" read the bible deeply, they'd find its truths."
Actually, if christians did read their book critically, they would be atheists. No sane rational person could possibly view the bible as anything other than mythology.
The fittest: he/she that fits best! Not the strongest or cruelest (sp?) I doubt you look and act like rambo do you? And still you can be able to reproduce (if you haven't done so already)
It's not about being fit, it's about fitting in!
"TE doesn't help make a society any more moral..."
Nope, it doesn't. I generally ascribe that to the fact that some of us care about our fellow humans.
As opposed to religions that say "be good, or you'll suffer." Being good because you'll be punished if you don't is different from being good because it's good.
Animals don't kill their own kind most of the times. Men do.
Animals don't keep their own kind as slaves. Men do.
Err, dude? The bible advocates both of those things. Kind of a lot.
The theory of evolution is a scientific theory. It does neither good nor bad, so much as gravity theory does. And man, people don't care a danm about the holy books because, in Europe until recently and in the Arabic world, many people can't read and write, to begin with.
Ants will keep slaves when they defeat another colony of ants. Some keep 'cattle' too.
If you don't think animals kill their own kind try leaving a male hamster in a cage after the female has had a litter. And what happens to the cubs when a new male lion takes over a pride?
Let's say this one more time:
Evolution. Is. A. Biological. Process.
It is not meant to be a foundation for social order.
"Animals don't kill their own kind most of the times. Men do."
Uh, yes they do.
The only thing I agree with is that animals are superior to humans.
If Muslim read their book critically they would stop being Muslim.
If "Christians" read the bible deeply, they'd find its truths.
*dies from fatal hilarity*
"Animals don't kill their own kind most of the times. Men do.
Animals don't keep their own kind as slaves. Men do. And pimps."
Man does not kill its own kind most of the time either. But both animals and Man do kill, because MAN is an animal.
What is the reason for tossing in the pimp comment?
Slavery is bad enough by itself, but Christianity is even worse in that it teaches that God expects you to volunteer for slavery to him. At least a captive slave can have some dignity that a volunteer slave lacks.
"If Muslim read their book critically they would stop being Muslim.
If "Christians" read the bible deeply, they'd find its truths."
Irony rarely comes so pure.
You obviously know nothing about the theory of evolution, animal behavior (there are some animals that routinely eat their own kind or that enslave other animals), or your own Holy Bible (especially the parts about slavery or genocide). As for superficial knowledge of one's holy book, that sure is a shiny mirror you have there.

Christianity doesn't help make a society any more moral when "I can do anything I want and still get into Heaven so long as I believe in Jesus" is motto."
There, fixed it for you.
It turns many men into animals, possibly worse than animals.
Most people don't even understand evolution, much less use it to justify bad behavior.
Lessee...
1) ToE helps the medical field greatly every day.
2) ToE explains how a moral society can survive better than an immoral one, and is as useful a deterrent to immoral behaviour as is religious fear to any INTELLEGENT person.
3) Animals kill their own kind over survival all the time. Just not over religion.
4) Ants and bees have caste based societies. Maybe not sentient, but a good case for slavery nonetheless.
5) True.
6&7) These two sentences read the same to me, i.e. anyone that read any holy book thouroghly with more than half a brain would see the truth and burn the book.
This has been your line-by-line assistance for the humor impaired.
"Animals don't keep their own kind as slaves. Men do. And pimps."
And guess what the Bible says its okay, so why are you complaining? I guess because you realise that you would NOT be the master (or pimp).
The average Joe who has ever contracted any bacterial infection that was treated with antibiotics has benefited from ToE.
There is no motto to the ToE, but if there was, it would be "survival of the most adaptable".
Evolution is the process for diversity and adaptation in nature. The Theory of Evolution is the scientific description of this process. It has as little to do with morality as the process of photosynthesis.
God of the Bible orders his followers to kill their own kind lots of time, and to take their captives as slaves.
If Christians read the Koran with an open mind, they would recognize many things in there.
If "Christians" read the bible deeply
Just a little spark of realization there. "If", indeed. Take your own advice and actually read it. All of it
Many dinosaurs were the biggest, strongest creatures before they went extinct.
They died out because their bodies required too much food, in a time when the sun was blocked and plants were scarce. Not to mention the climate changes.
Smaller creatures require less resources and were able to brave the crisis.
